Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐Ÿ’—

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@WinglessOne  I know I've said this before, but it needs to be said again...... you seriously know how to sell a mask!! This one sounds wonderful and so perfect for fall! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚ I really loved the Raw Sauce too, and was always ecstatic to see it at TJ Maxx/ Marshall's - haven't seen it there in a while though ๐Ÿ˜ข It's too bad they don't sell the serum for this one! Happy to hear you loved it! ๐Ÿ˜

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thanks @Shosh85 ! I must've missed my calling as a sheet mask marketer/seller. ๐Ÿคฃ And I know what you mean about Raw Sauce sightings at TJM/Marshalls: it was always an exciting surprise! YesStyle still carries both the FS and mini at the cheapest prices (mini's about $8 USD for gold members) I've seen anywhere lately. I notice YesStyle lists the ingredients but omits alcohol, which is really the second ingredient unless May Coop has reformulated this essence. Hmm.

I might ask LuLuLun if they've ever sold bottled serums/essences, or if they've considered going that route. (They do sell a couple of cream moisturizers.) Meanwhile, I might need to buy more boxes of this mask while they're still available.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@WinglessOne  Haha! Seriously tho, just about every time you post a review I feel like buying it right then and there! Would this qualify as your favorite LLL mask?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Shosh85 This might actually be my favorite LLL mask now. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love so many of them... eh, there are some that are more in the "like it" category. And I have to consider expected results from each mask: the Premium Kyoto green tea is my favorite anti-inflammatory LLL mask, for instance, while this maple mask is now my LLL favorite for hydration.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I am currently using a sample of Tarte Clay mask. It is a multi mask sample, one side is clay the other gel. I didn't have enough room for both so I'm just working on one side at a time. I also finally finished the snowman mask haha.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Samtian, Iโ€™ve seen this mask before - itโ€™s in a huge tub with a pretty top but itโ€™s a lot of product, I recall. Iโ€™ll be interested in your thoughts on the clay mask after youโ€™ve gone through your sample. Does the mask have a noticeable scent to it?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi I looked it up, it is really pretty! I honestly don't remember, but I'll be using it again on Thursday so I'll be on the look out for any scent.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Samtian  Whatโ€™s your thoughts! Iโ€™ve seen it but never tried it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ather I'm going to do it again tomorrow night so I'll post on Friday my thoughts and stuff, because I honestly don't remember.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Samtian  Sounds good!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Oh that sounds pretty cool @Samtian never tried that one before

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@lmaster It's pretty interesting.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Samtian   Well this brought a smile to my face.   My brain thinks clay and translates that to drying which I know isnโ€™t always the case.  Is this meant to be more a hydrating or clearing mask?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@heartsmyface I'm glad, I love making people smile. This one is supposed to be clearing. It has a gel part with it that does the hydrating.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Samtian Oh my gosh, I love this photo! ๐Ÿ˜What kind of results did you see from this one?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Shosh85  ๐Ÿ˜„ ha thank you! I didn't notice anything but oily in the morning. i'll keep a closer eye next week.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Your photo is amazing @Samtian! Does the clay mask seem effective?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica haha thank you. I didn't notice anything. I was really oily when I woke up but later in the day it went back to normal. I'll have to keep a closer eye out next week.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Hitting both themes this week for Autumn and P (as in pumpkin)- a face-to-face duel of the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask 5 oz/ 148 mL and the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask

IMG_20200910_092845.jpg

Both of these are wonderful masks that I know many of us have enjoyed so I thought I'd do my own little comparison on how they compare to one another. I used the PTR on one side of my face and the SF on the other and here are a few thoughts:

-On general formulation: The PTR is a more viscous consistency. It's a deep pumpkin-orange color with small, silty grains. The SF is a thicker, yellow cream with larger exfoliating granules.

-On scent: The PTR is closer to a straight pumpkin scent while the SF exudes delicious pumpkin pie. I really prefer the SF scent because it just smells amazing with that hint of spice and sweetness.

-On use: Both apply easily. The PTR has a bit of a cooling/tingling sensation for me. Whereas, I didn't even notice that I had the SF on. Both rinsed off easily.

-On results: Both left my skin feeling very soft and smooth to the touch. The side of my face that has the PTR was noticeably brighter and had less redness (which I can be prone to) than the SF side.

In the end, these are both masks that I would (already have) repurchase(d) but for different reasons. The SF is, for me, more of the spa-experience mask that I use when I want a hit of that yummy scent to get me in the fall mood. The PTR is what I reach for for function, giving great results beyond just the smoother skin.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@quspork  Both sound lovely ๐Ÿ˜Š
