I don't usually gravitate towards this color family but I have been liking MiniLuxe Smoky Topaz - the cooler-neutral leanings on this polish really draw me in. I first used this a while back for nail art and decided to do a full mani with it. It's actually the color I've been looking for in a dress or skirt. Hmmm... 🤔 I may have to keep the bottle in my purse for color matching the next time I'm out shopping for clothes. 😂

@itsfi  Oooo this is such a great colour!! A skirt in this would be perfect!!! I think keeping it in your purse might be a great idea!! It’s also beautiful as nail art against the berry colour!

@ather, thank you. I do like the pairing with the berry shade; I was surprised they paired so well together! Sometimes we just discover new things when we least expect it.

@itsfi  pretty neutral color, and I love the purple mani with flower nail art too! I haven't tried any MiniLuxe polishes before - how do you like them?

I have my fair share of reds, purples and netural nudes/beiges but the purple is a new one for me - or, at least, I haven't found one that's so close to it in my stash that I feel like it's a dupe (or maybe I just tell myself that so I don't feel the need to declutter any? Hahahaha!)

I am enjoying the MiniLux polishes, though I'm finding that some of their cremes have more of a demi-matte or matte finish than I was expecting. The metallic shades that I have though are excellent! 😘 I'm in the shopping my stash phase (again! 😅) with my nail polish, but there are a few brands (and shades) that I would consider hitting  "pause" on my no-buy for, and MiniLux is one of them, though to be fair, there'd need to be a sale, in most instances. The novelty of the brand vis-a-vis my current collection has a lot to do with it, along with the packaging,  and the colors themselves. 💅

Both colors are gorgeous, @itsfi !  I've been leaning in that neutral bronze/topaz direction with my makeup.  I'd love to have more nail polishes in that color!

@Titian06, thank you. I love the neutral nudes/browns/bronze shades for eyeshadows. It's funny that I only have a few of that color family as far as nail polish goes. I know you've been growing your nail polish collection (fun!!) 😁 - are there any brands you're particularly liking or find yourself picking up more polish from than others?

@itsfi - I have the most polishes from Zoya because they have "too good to pass up sales."  I think ILNP is my favorite formula.  Cirque Colors is the brand I reach for most frequently.

I finally figured out what the problem was for my magnetic nails and why I wasn't getting the velvet!!!!!

Wasn't my technique, I just didn't have the right polish!
