Hey there, Beauty Insider Community! I wanted to start a post for all of us to have an ongoing conversation about one of my favorite parts of the beauty scene: Korean beauty (commonly known as “K-beauty” for short 😉)! When I first got into skincare, I was immediately attracted to K-beauty because I was fascinated by the idea of glass skin (a term used often in K-beauty, generally referring to skin that looks so luminous and flawless it could even be made of glass). I also thought that watching people use sheet masks in Korean dramas always looked like so much fun! Nowadays, I’m always on the lookout for good K-beauty finds at Sephora.
I’m dropping some love for some of my personal K-beauty faves:
AMOREPACIFIC Treatment Enzyme Peel Cleansing Powder 1.94 oz/ 55 g belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Calming Mist 1.69 oz/ 50 mL Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner innisfree Green Tea Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum 2.7 oz/ 80 mL
This thread is for all the longtime K-beauty fans and those who might be curious about K-beauty! Have questions about glass skin, 10-step routines, or products? Or maybe you have some good K-beauty Sephora recommendations or other knowledge to share? Let’s demystify K-beauty together!
Give your K-beauty tips, recommendations, or ask questions in the comments below! ✨

@KaylaRow, if you're looking specifically for an K-Beauty eye cream / serum, these may be of interest to you: Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Eye Cream for Anti-Aging 0.5 fl. oz. / 15 mL - this one is expensive but it hits all of the requirements you are looking for in an eye cream - improves the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness, and it is a Korean beauty brand. Just note that this contains retinal so if that is something you are sensitive to, this one may not be for you. Occasionally, Sephora may have a promo code for a deluxe sample of this eye cream with a minimum spend. Also, there's usually a skincare set of mini's that includes this eye cream. Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream is a good one that will, over time help with puffiness, dark circles and lines. belif Aqua Bomb Depuffing Eye Gel with Caffeine + Hyaluronic Acid 0.5 oz / 15 mlbelif Moisturizing Eye Bomb with Peptide and Ceramide .84 oz / 25 ml Neither claims to do all three - the gel is good for depuffing and brightening the under eye area so may help with dark circles. The eye bomb aims to moisturize, plump and reduce the appearance of lines. Benton Fermentation Eye Cream is good for dark circles and wrinkles

Hey guys, I’m new to Korean skincare. My boyfriend’s friend’s girlfriend (i know a doozy i’m sorry) has amazing skin and i recently asked what she used. She said she uses a milk toner and cosrx snail mucin and that korean skin care is the way to go. I have acne and little black spots on my nose, and my pores could use some help too. if anyone has any advice on cleaners, toners, serums, and moisturizers let me know!!

Hello @SongCyndi and welcome to BIC! Couple questions for you: Which COSRX products do you use? Do you already use anything specific for your rosacea—maybe something a dermatologist prescribed or recommended? If you don’t already use azelaic acid, that might be a good addition to your routine. It can reduce redness and very gently exfoliate. Derms like to recommend it for rosacea. In the US, you can buy up to 10% strength over the counter or get a prescription for 15-20%. Azelaic acid does have a side effect: when you first start using it, your skin might feel itchy. I dealt with that during my first 2 weeks of use, and then the itchies stopped—and my skin’s normally quite reactive, yet it acclimated well to azelaic acid. My favorite OTC 10% azelaic acid serums are #Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Booster for Redness Relief 1 oz / 30 ml and Peach Slices Redness Relief Azelaic Acid Serum (available at Ulta and direct from Peach Slices/Peach & Lily). I alternate them each night throughout the week because the PC serum also contains 0.5% salicylic acid. You might also consider The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension Brightening Cream: note that is has a silicone texture, vs. PC’s cream texture and PS’s lightweight lotion texture. I use a 15% azelaic acid serum each morning by Niche Beauty Lab, a brand located in Europe; I don’t know how they’ll handle the tariff madness, but I’ve gotten packages from them this month with no trouble. You should talk to a derm or your primary care doc before starting any Rx strength product though.

When dealing with darkness, The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution did wonders for me 1-2 times per week. For overnight, Youth To The People Kombucha is fantastic. As a face wash, Sulwhasoo is gentle.
