I'm a day program teacher so I have WFH which is great. I get paid for more hours than I actually work!Other than that, I've been able to try so many new things I never get to do! I have done cooking and baking, embroidery and cross stitching, yoga, photography, and of course, Hulu/Netflix. I also started taking online makeup classes on Udemy and I am re- learning how to use Photoshop and Illustrator.

@suzyohmm, I thought 25 was high, as most other things I've tried were 5-15 mg per serving. and I've tried some w/thc too, but didn't notice much either, unless I took a lot...and then just wanted to lay around, lol. the plain cbd powder is 1 g, but it's hard to know how much I'm taking, since I don't have anything to measure it....I've just been taking a tiny bit, but it's probably half gone already. since apparently there are a lot of chemicals used in the process, that's a bit alarming too.

Curious if anyone has ever tried to use the Nuface to workout a small injured muscle. I to prevent going to the PT if I can help it during this epidemic, and an idea came to me about placing the microcurrents on my injury. The injury is small in my right arm, I have zero pain only when I do the smallest motions: washing my face or drying the car after washing it. It is that small circular motion that I cannot do.

I need to check the drawing book out! I just finished a hand lettering book and loved it. I’m now using a productivity planner by Rachel Hollis and grabbed ‘300 more writing prompts” a little journal at target. My mom sent me a coloring book to work on, and I have plenty more paper crafts! I haven’t tried paper flowers yet- it looks like it takes a lot of patience! Perfect time for trying something new:) thanks for sharing!

This Ramadan, it has been challenging for me to focus on self-care as far as working out. However, I have made up for that by getting back into my skin care routine. During the spring sale, I purchased the Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro to help reduce my fine lines and mild acne. I can't wait to try it out!

hi Myrna, yes I've had the sampler, one ten piece of the fizz tablets. really like the taste. I repurchased enough to last me the rest of the year in this spring sale. I've tried other brands, Hum Nutrition powders, etc , but I think this brand is a healthier option, than sugar watered bottles, soda, coffee. Try the sample, I"d like to hear your thoughts.

I'm in love with Ilia's foundations, they have one with and without sunscreen. Kosas foundations are great, light coverage though. Roen Beauty eyebrow pencils are phenomenal. The only negative is that there are only 2 shades. Ilia, Roen and Milk offer great eyeliners.

@Brutalitops that sounds yummy! I've never tried kimchi, but I found this line at natural grocer's which I like, called wildbrine. they have a bunch of different kind's of 'krauts', like beet, apple, etc. my fave is the herbal one which has a bunch of stuff in it like carrots, caraway, burdock... I haven't tried making kombucha, but I've wanted to try! I like water kefir also (not as strong as kombucha). I accidentally left my most recent bottle in the garage for 2 days - hope it's still good! lol

@StyleLynn Right? @BrendaBT must moonlight as a food stylist when she's not BIC-ing. Did you see the other one she made? I wish I had her skills... I ended up just stirring my WelleCo into a glass of water every day -- which was still refreshing, just not as pretty for the 'gram. 😉

Dealing with cramps, bloating and breakouts? Your hardworking gut microbes play a big role in hormonal balance. For many women, managing PMS means laying low and riding out the general discomfort that signals the arrival of your period. But before you break out the dark chocolate and call it a day, consider this: gut health can have a major impact on your menstrual cycles and sex hormones. Recent studies show that an imbalanced gut microbiome (known as dysbiosis) can be directly linked to hormonal imbalances. And conversely, hormonal imbalances such excess amounts of oestrogen can affect our gut, causing bloating, fluid retention and slower digestion. THE GUT-HORMONE CONNECTIONOnce oestrogen is produced in our ovaries (and in lesser amounts by our fat tissue post-menopause), it circulates via the bloodstream before arriving at the liver. Here, it is inactivated and sent to our digestive tract for elimination, where gut microbiota produce an enzyme called B-glucuronidase that breaks down oestrogen into its active form. That’s why if your microbiome isn’t working efficiently, oestrogen that should be eliminated will be re-circulated, potentially causing a hormone imbalance. Along with making us fertile, oestrogen affects our metabolism, skin, weight and fat deposition patterns. Plus it has a protective effect on our bone and heart health. Decreased estrogen is the reason our risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis increases post-menopause. Similarly, excess levels of estrogen can cause symptoms commonly associated with PMS such as heavier periods, bloating, mood swings, fluid retention, adrenal fatigue, acne and breast tenderness. Too much naturally occurring estrogen can be made even worse when we introduce xenoestrogens—hormone-mimicking compounds found in everyday items such as plastic, cosmetics and skincare products and non-organic fruits and vegetables. When xenoestrogens build up in our bodies, it can trigger an oestrogen dominance, which some studies have shown to increase our long-term risk of endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and breast cancer. HEALTHY GUT, HEALTHY HORMONES We can promote healthy estrogen levels by supporting our gut health, liver and elimination pathways. First and foremost, encourage healthy microbial diversity by eating plenty of high fibre vegetables and probiotic, lacto-fermented foods—and don’t forget our new The Beauty Chef Gut Primer™ Inner Beauty Support™! Consider reducing your intake of alcohol, refined sugars, additives, MSG and burnt food as they can contribute to dysbiosis and inflammation. It also helps to avoid environmental toxins and endocrine-disrupting chemicals, such as those found in many cleaning and personal care products, wherever possible. Finally, given the negative impact of high cortisol on the immune system and microbiome, try to manage your stress levels.Have any questions for us about the link between hormone health and gut health?
