GET GUTSY WITH CARLA | HOW I MAKE THE BEAUTY CHEF PRODUCTS WORK HARDER FOR MY SKIN

lighter.png

As a brand, The Beauty Chef evolved very organically. Having experienced eczema as a child and witnessing my daughter’s skin issues as well, I quickly realised just how intimate the connection between our gut and skin really is.

For glowing skin, we need to firstly look at the state of our gut and nourish ourselves from within with nutrient-dense foods. This is how my first product, , was born after I began experimenting with probiotic-rich, lacto-fermented foods in my own kitchen.THE BEAUTY CHEF - GLOW ADVANCED Inner Beauty Powder

10 years later and The Beauty Chef has grown significantly, but I still swear by a few rituals to make the most of my daily GLOW. No matter where you are on your inner beauty journey, these simple tips will help you feed your skin from within, too.

THE POWER OF SYNERGY

The Beauty Chef products are powerful on their own, but they’re even better together. This is because I’ve designed the range to work synergistically. Essentially, this means that the ingredients work together to enhance the overall efficacy, making it easier for your gut and skin to reap the rewards. Take THE BEAUTY CHEF - GLOW ADVANCED Inner Beauty Powder and THE BEAUTY CHEF - COLLAGEN Inner Beauty Boost, for example, which form the foundation of my inner beauty routine. GLOW is like my internal moisturiser, containing bio-fermented and probiotic superfoods that help to nourish and rejuvenate my skin from within. The addition of COLLAGEN—which is like my internal skin serum—really amplifies the benefits of GLOW. This supercharged elixir contains a concentrated blend of maqui berry, acai, papaya, blueberry, goji berry and pomegranate, which are all potent sources of antioxidants for skin health.

CONSISTENCY IS KEY

I cannot stress this enough. If your diet is made up of junk food, eating a salad once a week isn’t going to make a lasting difference to your health. Similarly, taking GLOW once every so often isn’t likely to yield noticeable results—it’s certainly better than nothing, but we can’t deny the power of consistent, daily rituals when it comes to improving our health, skin and wellbeing. Remember: change doesn’t happen overnight. Be consistent and commit to using your product of choice every day for at least a month.

DON’T FORGO YOUR H20

Water is essential for survival—let alone healthy, glowing skin. By ensuring that I drink between 2-3 litres of water every day, I know that the vitamins, minerals and trace elements my body needs are being carried into my cells. While I normally enjoy my GLOW and COLLAGEN together in a glass of water, I’m diligent about staying hydrated for the rest of the day. Whatever you do, don’t make your daily glass of GLOW the only water that you drink!
