Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

A whole skincare routine includes both an evening (PM) and morning (AM) component, hence there is no such thing as a "morning only" or "evening only" routine. The nightly treatment stresses repair and regeneration as your skin strives to recover and renew itself over night, while the morning routine concentrates on protection and prevention against everyday environmental stressors like pollution and UV rays.

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

Honestly, usually in the evening because there's not always time for it in the morning. Same with sports. I don't always have time for sports in the morning so I mostly do them in the evening. I recently found https://store.betterme.world/collections/pilates-princess and I think it's time to expand my sports wardrobe a bit. Otherwise I don't need anything from skincare, so I'm going to start updating my wardrobe

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

Both but the morning is more involved @aveeeee

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

Ooo Im curious what do you do in the morning differently than at night?

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

My morning routine is:

Cleanse

Toner

Serum

Eye cream

Moisturizer

Neck cream

Sunscreen

Evening routine:

Cleanse

Serum

Moisturizer

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

@aveeeee  I shower at night, so that’s when I do the bulk of my facial skincare: makeup remover (if needed), cleanser, treatment(s), retinaldehyde, and moisturizer.

In the morning, my routine is usually a water rinse (or if needed, micellar water or cleansing balm or very gentle non-lathering cleanser), azelaic acid, and sunscreen. In cold weather, I apply moisturizer under sunscreen.

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

@WinglessOne ok yes im very similar! Except my morning skincare is usually just toner and sunscreen.
Im so curious what is azelaic acid and does it make your skin sensitive to the sun??

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

@aveeeee  Gotta love a quick and easy morning routine!

Azelaic acid doesn’t make skin sun-sensitive. It treats hyperpigmentation (including dark acne marks) and redness. It’s also a mild exfoliant (gentler than AHAs) and skin soother. Dermatologists like it for rosacea and acne patients. Azelaic acid comes in different strengths: OTC is up to 10%; 15-20% is prescription strength here in the US. I use a 15% serum. It does have side effects: itchiness is a common one, and I went through that the first couple weeks I used an azelaic acid product. (I started with Paula’s Choice 10%.) Then my skin got used to it, and I haven’t had that problem again in years.

Eh, it’s not an ingredient everyone needs. But it’s very helpful for the things I mentioned.

Re: Are you are morning or evening skin care girlie??

@aveeeee I do my skincare morning and night time.
