I have hair concerns similar and I would say look for a volumizing shampoo and use a leave in conditioner instead of a regular conditioner. The volume shampoos from a lot of brands are pretty good, on a day to day basis I use Pantene for volume and the B&B thickening shampoo.  https://www.sephora.com/product/thickening-volume-shampoo-P280566?skuId=1270024&icid2=bumble_lp_bestsellers_carousel_ca280566 Also, when drying your hair, use the B&B blow dry styler, it definitely helps keep the volume. https://www.sephora.com/product/all-style-blow-dry-P391797?skuId=1668037&icid2=products%20grid391797 For finishing, use a finishing spray and you're set to go https://www.sephora.com/product/thickening-dryspun-finish-P394960?skuId=1540897&icid2=products%20grid394960

I would recommend a light leave in conditioner on the ends. I have fine blonde straight hair. I don’t even use conditioner in the shower. Maybe once a week. Then After my leave in I use a product to make my hair thicker and one for volume. So I might use Redken Thick lotion and thenVerb volume spray up top at the roots. I will end with an oil to seal in moisture at my ends. Blow drying your hair upside down and getting as much moisture out before going in with a round brush is key. I dry myhair til it’s completely dry and then use a round brush Section your hair with a round brush And get great volume. Use a thicken lotion then a volume spray. I use: Aquage gel lotion, Paul Mitchell tea tree thicken spray, Paul Mitchell thick lotion, redken GUTS, Alterna bamboo spray, Amika blow out or mousse, Verb beach waves, Bumble and Bumble volume hairspray and texture creamand beach wave spray. There are so many good ones out there. Playaround with the samples they give you and layer products Dry shampoo wil help your blowout last four days

Hi @Jpezzolla,   I have fine, relaxed hair and I wash my hair in the evenings - typically every other day. I like to let it air dry a bit before giving it a rough blow dry throughout. I always lift at the roots when blow drying, and I try to keep my head turned upside down as much as possible LOL.   Then, I twist my hair into a high bun on the top of my head and secure it with a scrunchie - not a hair tie. When I wake up the next morning and take my hair down, it's almost weightless and has so much volume! The twisted bun also adds really pretty waves throughout the body of my hair, and the scrunchie helps to keep any bends or creases from forming. I highly recommend trying it out. I hope this helps!   Best regards, Laurie

As much as it pains me to say this as I truly view DTF as my HG hair product, I need a dupe. I am not going to support the products of someone so superficial and hateful towards consumers on social media simply because they didn’t like a product. So that said, does anyone know of a decent dupe for Ouai Dry Texture Foam?

I'd recommend the new Amika Bombshell spray, applying just 3-5 sprays near the roots on the crown and top of your head, then blow dry with a little heat. I would start with less sprays then try less or more on a different day to see how your hair responds. My hair is fine as well and my wavy curls on top tend to lie flat but this new spray works great just use sparingly especially if your hair is fine!

I have curly hair and sometimes have the same problem. What I do is when I wash it in the morning, I brush it and put it in a low bun. Once it dries and I let it loose the top of my hair is smooth and the bottom are nice controlled not frizzy waves.

If you want healthier hair, i definitely recommend you let it air dry WITHOUT straightening it a few days a week. You gotta give your locks a break from the heat every so often! I recommend using the Bumble & Bumble Don’t Blow It styling cream, it’s especially made for air-drying and gives your hair a smooth texture.

First off, you have to stop washing it every single day. You’re actually making it more oily by doing that because your scalp is overproducing its natural oils in response to the constant washing/drying. Second, I recommend you try the Briogeo Scalp Revival Micro-exfoliating Shampoo,... It should help clarify your scalp and get rid of some of that oil. But only use it a few times a week, don’t use this every time you wash your hair because it is very intensive. Third, make sure your other hair products (styling cream, conditioner, etc.) are sulfate free. Sulfates coat your hair and contribute to a greasy look when your natural oils are added into the mix. I hope all of this helps!!

I have tried the volumizing shampoo & conditioner, and I was highly disappointed with both. Neither one provided any sort of lasting volume (used separately AND together, didn’t make a difference). Plus, they actually managed to make my thin hair feel super weighed down and somewhat dirty. I would not recommend.

I find the key is weightless volume. Don't use heavy products. Starting with conditioner, I recommend Anadalou Naturals argan stem cell for thinking hair. Also look for ingredients that stimulate the scalp like caffeine, menthol or tea tree oil. Also blow dry hair upside down with round brush for bend and bounce. Finally I HIGHLY recommend Handmade Heroes drop dead gorgeous dry shampoo. It's an all natural powder I apply with a Kabuki brush to roots in sections. Stimulates scalp, feels clean, absorbs oil and adds tons of volume!

You are describing my hair exactly @plasticglam. I do the DevaCurl thing and after some experimenting I finally have a pretty good routine. I wash with LowPoo, then use the leave-in conditioner (currently the One Condition Delight - but will be moving to the regular One Condition for the winter).  Then I work B’Leave-In into the crown and top to help plump up the hair in that area. Next I use the Ultra Defining Gel and work that through my hair. Your hair needs to be dipping wet through all of this. Now blot with a microfiber towel to get some of the wetness out.  The next thing I do is plop (google this if you’re not familiar) for about a half hour. Then take off the towel, use Deva clips to lift roots at the top and crown and give a quick spray of spray gel over the clipped area. Let air dry or diffuse. Gently scrunch hair while upside down and shake back into place. It’s a lot of steps I know, but it can move along pretty quickly.  I also agree with @sparklekai. The Curly Girl book is great and is a wonderful reference. Give the clips a shot - they really work !

Hi, @danim. Sephora could have decided to stop stocking those products since they have been completely removed from the website. The Texas Tea shampoo and conditioner are still available via Drybar direct and QVC. However, since there are now only two retailers that stock the shampoo and conditioner, I would recommend contacting Drybar directly to see if the Texas Tea line is being discontinued. Best of luck.
