Summer is finally here, Beauty Insider Community! To celebrate one of the most fun times of the year (aka Hot BIC Summer 😉) we’re bringing in an exciting new summer challenge in the form of the first official virtual BIC World Tour! ✈ We know not everyone is able to travel at this time, so let’s go together virtually 💕

Each week we’ll have a new vacation-themed prompt where you’ll get to share your fantasy favorites as we travel to different climates and places across the world! 🌎

Check in time: Each Friday launches a new travel destination and prompt, so check back to this post weekly for more vacay fun:

• (Week 1: 7/1 - 7/7) Your ultimate summer vacay: Close your eyes and picture your dream vacay … now answer this question: if you could only bring 5 beauty products along with you on this trip, what would they be?

• (Week 2: 7/8 - 7/14) Hot BIC Summer: Battling against heat and humidity is no easy task! Talk about your most powerful tools, products, or tips that help you fight against the sun.

• (Week 8: 8/19 - 8/26) Cold weather hydration must-haves: Snow, icy winds, and cold temps – it’s not hot everywhere this time of year! Some of those most breathtaking sights take place in the cold! What are you bringing to keep your skin hydrated and feeling healthy?

Honestly, the best thing to do about the heat and humidity it just embrace it! If everyone is sweaty who cares if you are haha. Just throw on a swim suit, jump in the pool, call it good. 

If you can’t jump in a pool, here are some of my tips:

-No point in trying to do a full face of makeup, go for something lightweight if you must. My go-to this summer has been ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation topped with bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Pressed Setting Powder, and I use Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Blot & Glow Blotting Paper Refill to help with shine.

-The best sweaty skin friendly body care products come from Sol De Janeiro. I wear their Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant 2 oz/ 57 g to combat stink and Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright™ Visibly Brightening and Smoothing Body Cream with Vitamin C 8.1 oz / 240 ml and Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Visibly Firming Refillable Body Cream to keep my body soft, smooth, and hydrated. 

-Verb Ghost Weightless Hair Oil 2 oz/ 60 mL does a great job of managing frizz and heat related wild hair. 

-Finally, humidity can really suck the life out of you whether you’re used to it or not. I start my day with a packet of Liquid IV in water, and end my day with one if I was enjoying the frozen drinks a little too much. I like the watermelon flavor.

I am one of those not so elegant people that sweats so I need a water resistant sunscreen Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector SPF 50+ Sunscreen Duo  is the best! Water resistant and supposedly gets stronger when wet. That sounds like marketing bs to me but it is also peach and not white so no cast. It is my every day and I mix in Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter  with it and use it daily.

Ohhhh to me a good, hot, humid summer means I roll with it and spend time out on the water, be on the boat or on the dock with a good Sephora Wink floatie, that means my tools are:

• A good swimsuit you feel awesome in!
• A great cold beverage
• A wonderful floatie 
• The perfect sunnies!

As far as products go...

• A high SPF to keep sun safe( Shiseido Ultra Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50 is a good one, but whatever you'll wear and reapply is the best)
• A great cleanser that won't leave your skin stripped but will get all that SPF off in the evening.  The Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Pore-Minimizing Cleanser 6.76 oz/ 200 mL has been great for me lately.
• A simple hair routine that allows me to stay on routine, but isn't complicated since I'll be in and out of the water all day! dae Mini Dae Hair Kit  smells great and gives me tropical vibes all the while keeping my long hair soft and moisturized. 
• A wonderful smelling shower gel is all part of the cool down shower experience for my summer.  The philosophy Melon Daiquiri 16 oz/ 480 mL is great and honestly I love picking up new scents all the time.
• And I think most would agree that a good moisturizer for body is always needed!  The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Visibly Firming Refillable Body Cream is the perfect cap to my summer shower scents!
• My facial skincare goes simple this time of year as well.  Top off with some belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb Limited Edition 0.84 oz/ 25 mL .  No make up needed round the campfire before bed 😉

The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray 3.3 oz / 100 ml has been a staple in my purse! It's been serving a dual purpose as a makeup locking shield, and a refreshing reprieve during the day. It's hot here y'all!

My hair is definitely the first thing to look crazy when the humidity gets bad!  The Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Towel Cloudy Berry makes a massive difference in how my hair dries in the first place!!!!

• Powder setting
  • I actually set my eye makeup with #MAKE UP FOR EVER Mini Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder Mini Size Translucent - 0.14 oz/ 4 g #. I find it works better than a primer
• Waterproof eyeliner and mascara
  • Right now I'm using GXVE BY GWEN STEFANI Line It Up Clean 24-Hr Gel Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner
• Mineral foundation
