Summer is finally here, Beauty Insider Community! To celebrate one of the most fun times of the year (aka Hot BIC Summer 😉) we’re bringing in an exciting new summer challenge in the form of the first official virtual BIC World Tour! ✈ We know not everyone is able to travel at this time, so let’s go together virtually 💕

Each week we’ll have a new vacation-themed prompt where you’ll get to share your fantasy favorites as we travel to different climates and places across the world! 🌎

Check in time: Each Friday launches a new travel destination and prompt, so check back to this post weekly for more vacay fun:

• (Week 1: 7/1 - 7/7) Your ultimate summer vacay: Close your eyes and picture your dream vacay … now answer this question: if you could only bring 5 beauty products along with you on this trip, what would they be?

• (Week 2: 7/8 - 7/14) Hot BIC Summer: Battling against heat and humidity is no easy task! Talk about your most powerful tools, products, or tips that help you fight against the sun.

• (Week 3: 7/15 - 7/21) Seamless day to night: Sometimes it’s all about versatility. Share with us your favorite products, looks, or hacks to easily go from day to night.

• (Week 4: 7/22 - 7/28) Tropical & beachy: Sun, sand, water, and vibes~ what are you taking with you for a day out on the sand? Bonus points if you want to add a fun beach-inspired look. 😉

• (Week 5: 7/29 - 8/4) G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S ✨ night on the town: Show off your glam looks and the products you’ll use to transform yourself for a night out!

• (Week 6: 8/5 - 8/11) BIC outdoor essentials: Camping, hiking, and all-things outdoors! 🌲 What are your essentials you need with you to take on the terrain?

• (Week 7: 8/12 - 8/18) Home is where the scent is: Sometimes we can all use a little piece of what we call home. 🏡💕 What fragrance item (perfume, candle, diffuser, etc.) would you bring that always reminds you of home sweet home?

• (Week 8: 8/19 - 8/26) Cold weather hydration must-haves: Snow, icy winds, and cold temps – it’s not hot everywhere this time of year! Some of those most breathtaking sights take place in the cold! What are you bringing to keep your skin hydrated and feeling healthy?

What a fun topic! For reference purposes, my current dream vacation would be a few weeks spent in France and Italy - maybe with a few detours. My 5 must-have products, not in any specific order:

1. Atelier Cologne Lemon Island Pure Perfume 3.3 oz/ 100 mL Pure Perfume Spray- Absolutely gorgeous, fresh scent with a tease of vanilla
2. fresh Soy Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser- HG face wash, it completely removes my makeup and is v gentle
3. amika Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Conditioner- I'm an unnatural blonde and I use this every other wash to tone, works super well and on the days I'm not using it I'm applying amika The Kure Intense Bond Repair Hair Mask 8.4 oz/ 250 mL 
4. Vichy Sunscreen Ideal Soleil Sport 60 SPF - I buy this from the drugstore and it's such an amazing sunscreen, works for face & body
5. Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm for Hydration & Shine Vanilla- I've been repurchasing this over and over since I discovered it, do yourself a favour & pick one up

Ideally I'd also have all my makeup but this is assuming I am restricted to MAX 5 products!! But, to be fun, if I could only have 5 makeup items:

1. ILIA Fullest Volumizing Mascara Classic Black
2. Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Hope 
3. MERIT Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm Cava

1) an eyebrow pencil Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer or IT Cosmetics Brow Power Micro Universal Taupe

2) blush - most likely CLINIQUE Cheek Pop Blush Pansy Pop 

3) mascara Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara Black 

4) CLINIQUE Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover , because I'll definitely need to remove that makeup!

5) my favorite, LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Gummy Bear or LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm Gummy Bear

@Anna2BT I don’t know what is more cruel, if to have to choose just 5 beauty products, or just one dream vacay! 😅 

Ok, after giving it a good thought, I think I am almost ready. As this is a full week challenge, I will start by trying to narrow it down to what the purpose of this challenge is and give just one dream vacay and just 5 beauty products. The rest of the days I will be adding more dream destinations and more products, probably in categories, including wish list (because, as I never have to take just 5 products in my travels, I don’t have any good multitasker 😕)

I have been fortunate enough to travel profusely, visiting over 45 countries so far and many multiple times. In some I have lived for a prolonged period of time. But if I had to choose just one of the remaining, I think it would be India. But I need at least a month! I can’t die before seeing the Taj Mahal....

 

You can tell I love color.... I need to see these places!! 

And as per what I would take, on top of a mosquito repellent 😅, that doesn’t count as a beauty product, my minimalistic list would be:

1- Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 1.7 fl. oz/ 50 mL 

2- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Mini Sculpture Unlocked: old multitasker that I could use both as face and eye palette to give me some color and dimension.

3- GXVE BY GWEN STEFANI Hella On Point Clean Ultra-Fine Brow Pencil 5 that I would use also as wing eyeliner

4- Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara 01 Waterproof Big is The New Black , to hold in the high humidity.

5- SEPHORA COLLECTION Retractable Rouge Gel Lip Liner 29 dressed to the 90s of course, I couldn’t leave/live without it! 😁

It is not a colorful list but I would leave the color to the beautiful Indian dresses and surroundings! ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, I would be sweating like crazy and smelling like hell, but probably it wouldn’t be too noticeable so that’s why I am not adding any perfume/deodorant 😄

We have friends from there who share their travel pictires on social media. They were in Amritsar last year, one of the 7 golden cities of India. The nightlife photos were stunning! The Golden Temple is located there and is on the waterfront- so beautiful! @Saradestin

@Saradestin  The friends are actually my one of my son's good friends and his family.  They travel to India every summer.  They do mission work there.  A year or two ago they told me how they visited and took medical supplies to an aged folks home (I forget where in India.)  I was so sad to hear that the home consisted of a big, plain building and the residents slept on cement cots with thin mattresses.  That's how poor they are.
