Monthly Favorites: September 2024 Edition!

KhyleyBT_0-1727281372670.jpeg

I hope September has been good to you, BIC 🧡 As for me, I’ve been savoring the last moments of summer ☀ so I could welcome the cozy transition to fall with open arms – call me EXCITED 🍂 This month has also been full of travel for close friends’ weddings, so I had to reactivate my makeup skills to pull out some glam looks 🤩 As a skincare girly, I’ve been simultaneously giving my skin some extra love since we’re not in the routine of doing a regular beat. Smelling good is also a must, and I tend to reach for something a little fancier when getting gussied for an event 🌟

Here are a some of my loves so far this month:

Now it’s your turn! What are your top picks this month Community? Be sure to use the “#” symbol to tag those favorites so we can all shop together. Can’t wait to see your hot takes 🙌

Re: Monthly Favorites: September 2024 Edition!

Oooouh, the Carolina Herrera Good Girl fragrances smell so good all year round @KhyleyBT, and I just looooove the design of their bottles - those heels! 🤣 Apologies for the very late posting - eek! My September favorites consist of tried-and-true products that have served me well at home in the Bay and on various trips, including my most recent one last month.

Spoiler
SEPHORA COLLECTION Reveal The Real 12HR Soft Radiant Skin Tint is my skin but better in a bottle. "Soft radiant skin tint" is a good description for this beauty - this somehow blurs (dark spots and redness) while simultaneously allowing my skin to come through - the glow is much less a dewy luminosity but more of a lit-from-within-brightness to my complexion. Well done, Sephora team; well done! I'll also note that I very much appreciate the packaging; namely, I can see how much product I've used up / have left. That's something I grumble about in maaaaanny of my product reviews - thank you, Sephora Collection! A little goes a long way with this beauty, and now, I'll know I'll have a better idea of when I need to repurchase!

Tweezers can be unsung heroes. I had an appointment to clean up my brows before SEPHORiA but it had to be canceled, so that meant I would need to try to be more vigilant with my own brow care. Thank goodness for TWEEZERMAN Micro Mini Pink Perfection Tweezer Set! These mini are great for getting into smaller space and are fabulous for travel, or just keeping a set in my purse.

I was very happy to see Hanni at SEPHORiA - makes sense as the brand is based in Atlanta. I lhave tried most products in their collection, with the first being the Water Hydrating Body Mist, and have been pleased with everything I've tried - the entire line is really marvelous @sister13, @heartsmyface. I took only 2 body care products with me this trip, and it was all I needed. One was the most recent release, the fatty, a solid body moisturizer - you apply it like deoderant but all over your body - easy, peasy moisturized skin without heaviness, greasiness or film left behind.

I usually use shower gels, but a solid bar like this Hanni Cocoon Cleanse Solid Body Serum Cleanser with Shea Butter 3.7 oz / 105 g comes in handy when traveling. The brand offers a shower scarf in some bundle which is fantastic for getting to hard to reach places in the back (getting older has for me meant less flexibility and there are just some spots that are more challenging to get to and it hurts too much to try to contort myself like a gymnast to do so). I ended up just placing the soap in a mesh sack for cleansing and gentle exfoliation.

Vitamins, digestive enzymes, allergy medicine, Aleve/Advil. etc. They all fit in this handy dandy SEPHORA COLLECTION Supplement Case - it's not an item I think to pick up but since doing so earlier this year, I can't imagine being without it.

Best memories from September: I started counting down the days to SEPHORiA 2024 after the Labor Day holiday (well, I started an informal countdown after NYC, lol). As fun as I knew the event would be, I was most excited to see and hang out with fellow BIC beauties. They did not disappoint and made a fabulous event even more so.

There were many memorable moments from SEPHORiA Atlanta, some of which have been memorialized on the Sephoria 2024 Atlanta, Georgia thread as well as various threads throughout the Forums. My most cherished though are the ones spent chatting, catching up and laughing with the BIC beauties - thinking about it now makes me look forward to seeing them again, as well as seeing those who were not able to make it this year. Until SEPHORiA 2025! 😉

Love, love, love OLEHENRIKSEN Pout Preserve Hydrating Peptide Lip Treatment Strawberry Sorbet .  The strawberry sorbet is the perfect pink shade plus it is very hydrating lasting all day.   A great product where a little goes a long way.

Re: Monthly Favorites: September 2024 Edition!

I’ve been finding some newer monthly favorites this month!

-I had been seeing the brand “Axis Y” on my fyp for a while a decided to pick up their #Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum and definitely don’t regret it! This gives such a beautiful glow i’ve been surprisingly reaching for this over my Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops Serum which i thought could of never been replaced!😂❤️

-i’ve been loving the #summer friday cherry butter balm i’ve enjoying using a simple brown liner with this🤍

-I recently picked up the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez True to Myself Tinted Pressed Talc-Free Finishing Powder Porcelain and have been enjoying the bluring finish this gives without looking dry and cakie💕

-finally the GXVE BY GWEN STEFANI Dewyplump Collagen Boosting Cheek Tint Hibiscus has been something i’ve been using very often love these and their formulation! This shade in specific i’ve been really enjoying!

These are all of my monthly favorites for September
