Monthly Favorites: September 2024 Edition!

I hope September has been good to you, BIC 🧡 As for me, I’ve been savoring the last moments of summer ☀ so I could welcome the cozy transition to fall with open arms – call me EXCITED 🍂 This month has also been full of travel for close friends’ weddings, so I had to reactivate my makeup skills to pull out some glam looks 🤩 As a skincare girly, I’ve been simultaneously giving my skin some extra love since we’re not in the routine of doing a regular beat. Smelling good is also a must, and I tend to reach for something a little fancier when getting gussied for an event 🌟

Thank you ❣️ I appreciate it 🙂 I use it in zig zag on my cheeks and blend it in I use it sometimes with the Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Moisture Repair Balm Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane 1.41 ...  and put foundation on and use that combo as my primer! I love it it gives my skin a little tan 😎 @CynthieLu

As the weather is transitioning to fall and my sensitive, dry skin is drying out more it's been all about products that support hydration and don't increase sensitivity, rediscovering seasonal perfumes and my ongoing quest to find the perfect eye shadow palette: 

• I've really enjoyed using the #LANEIGE Bouncy & Firm Plump, Firm & Glow Set over the last month at night. I'm in love with the full sized eye mask and have already ordered a full size of the lip mask, 
• I love that Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt'r Hydrating Primer 1.0 oz/ 30 mL always helps keep any foundation I apply from clinging to or highlighting any dry spots,
• I'm seriously craving sweeter and heavier scents like Ellis Brooklyn VANILLA MILK Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz / 50 mL eau de parfum spray or Ellis Brooklyn SUPER AMBER Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz/ 50 mL (yes I do love me some Ellis Brooklyn),
•  I've still yet to find anything to beat MAKEUP BY MARIO Master Mattes® Eyeshadow Palette: The Neutrals for versatile, matte/neutral basics,
• And, by the way, could Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush be any better? Such a light product, blends so seamlessly and so much punch with so little product!

Thanks @CookieGirl1 ! I've yet to try any of the Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush shades but Scene (warm pink) so can't speak on the others but am definitely tempted to try Vision (True Rose) as well. Scene is a great pink/peach/coral that still retains a pop of pink without reading "coral" or "orange" like some peach shades, it's got a great color balance. Let me know if you try any of the other shades! It's definitely been my favorite texture and finish to work with so far amongst the creme and liquid blushes I've tried.

@PDXXXX "Scene" is the shade that I would be most tempted to try.  I'm hoping, though, that they expand the shade range to include a few more colors!  The product has been popular enough that it wouldn't surprise me if they did ultimately add a few more shades.  That's great that you've been loving yours!

@PDXXXX  great faves, and thanks for sharing your thoughts on each of them! I have been eyeing the Laneige set, and once I've tried and used some of the many blushes I picked up this summer, I definitely plan to check out the Hourglass blush - I've heard so many good things!

The way you describe Hour Glasses liquid blush is so tempting! @PDXXXX what shade(s) have you tried? Do you have a fave?

@CynthieLu it really was an excellent find! I have fair/light skin with neutral undertones and I'm currently using it in the shade Scene (soft warm pink). I often go for peachy/pink shades and I think this one nails it - I get the hint of peach without it running too coral or orange like some peachy shades and the formula is sheer enough that you can adjust coverage easily. I'm super tempted to try the Vision (true rose) or Whim (bright pink as well). I'm usually a cream blush girl but this really does blend so well and give a sheerer finish option if you're curious 🙂
