Monthly Favorites: September 2023 Edition!

Bye-bye, summer! 👋🍂 I’m welcoming fall, BIC – who’s with me? Ready for warm baths and vampy lips to make their annual return to my routine. The weather is getting colder already and I’m all about hydration; my hair is feeling particularly dry at the moment, so I’ve been trying to show it some extra TLC! I also got my hands on a couple new makeup products that I tried for the first time this month and instantly fell for – after a summer of dewy, barely-there makeup, I’m challenging myself to revisit more dramatic looks this season. ✨

Oh right right @Samtian I remember you saying mascara wasn’t your favorite thing! I couldn’t live without it especially with my spectacles. Lol. My eyeballs would disappear I’m afraid! 🤓😭

@Sunnysmom at Sephoria I tried the Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara Electric Blue and I might just be really really interested in picking up colored mascaras lol. Have you tried that one?

Oh how fun @Samtian ! No I have not tried it! I think I tried a blue mascara from Chanel many moons ago and not sure why I stopped as it’s such a terrific idea especially for our eyes to stand out when wearing glasses! Was it a very wet formula?

@Sunnysmom No. It dried really well and fast! I was rubbing that off like 3 days later lol.

Hmm 🤔 @Samtian, of course now I’m curious tho I need no mascara there’s always a case to be made for a fun colored one maybe?! Hello sale!

I bet so @Samtian . I love how navy can brighten up an eye for a liner vs basic black so I can bet a blue mascara would be such a cool look too! Did you post a look with it by any chance?! 🥰

Oh fun maybe so @Samtian ! Will be good to hear. Also was gonna mention I think it’s so tricky when MUA apply mascara on us too. It’s just gotta be so tough! 🥹 I make a big enough mess on my own. 😆

@Sunnysmom I'm surprised she didn't smack me upside the head or something with how much I blink. I can't wear contact because of that lol.

Haha I just spat out my tea @Samtian ! 😆 I can’t wear them either tho. I tried and used to fuss 24/7!! Nope.

@Sunnysmom I had the 30 day at a time ones for a while and that was so nice! Eventually my eyelids won the battle though. Turns out I also don't fully blink. So everytime I blink it's only a partial blink. What a pain they are!

My eyes watered constantly and were bloodshot and I was constantly fussing with them @Samtian ! 😭 It’s old 4 eyes for me all the time now! Good thing so many fun glasses options! 🤓

@Sunnysmom  I got the Kosas Undressed Talc-Free Neutral Eyeshadow Palette  I have super sensitive eyes so I wanted to get one that might be more safe for me! I do love it.

Oh that one looks so good @ather ! I really went back and forth as my poor eyes can be a sensitive mess! I may still have to pick it up. Good to know you love it! 💞

@GeorginaBT oh yes yes!!! Benefit Cosmetics Fan Fest Fanning & Volumizing Mascara Hyper Black is unbelievable!!! I also enjoyed using MAKEUP BY MARIO Master Mattes® Eyeshadow Palette: The Original 12 x 0.03 oz/ 1 g with everyone last week!! I have not had a chance to really play with it, but so far I'm happy with choosing that palette

@lmaster Isn't it a great mascara?! I think I mentioned this during our Ambassador tutorial sesh, but I really feel like it stays put on me just as well as a waterproof mascara does. I'm impressed! 😀

I have that Sol de Janeiro oil in my stash and I need to try it out!! Though its a summer-y scent I feel like my skin will especially appreciate it in the winter. ❄
