Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

Monthly Favorites - November 2023Monthly Favorites - November 2023

Happy November, BIC! I’m over here still waiting for that crisp, fall feeling to kick in (it’s still unseasonably warm here in California 😅), but there’s no denying that the Holiday szn is officially here -- ready or not! Speaking of which, I can’t wait to see what new goodies everyone picked up at the Sephora Savings Event earlier this month, if you shopped the sale! As for me, I managed to find a few new favorites in November, but mostly shopped my own stash to keep myself in check. It’s all about ~balance~ 😉.

Here are the products I’ve been loving this November:

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@danielledanielle Awww loving this theme and all these great faves. Hope you and Baby DanDan had an amazing Thanksgiving ❤️

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

Hahaha, loving the Thanksgiving menu of favorites @danielledanielle! I had told a coworker that if I didn’t see turkey or leftovers for another year, I would be fine. But these treats?!!! I would be happy to use on repeat.

Oh, I do like the PML foundation; will have to sort through my stash to find it - the color I have will work in a couple of months when we’re in the thick of winter. Do you prefer to use a brush or beauty sponge for applying it? Or something else?

Sleep well and sweet dreams to baby DanDan! 🥱 💤

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@danielledanielle Gorgeous faves, and love your themes as always! Honestly I think the Pat McGrath concealer is unmatched when it comes to coverage... in fact, i recently finished one, so thanks for the reminder to replen! And now I wanna try that Danessa Myricks eyeliner!

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@danielledanielle Love these favourites, and the theme! Panning a highlight is so impressive 😩

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@AlexBT  My November faves are all about skincare, since I'm working from home and haven't been wearing much makeup. I'm loving my fresh Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm in Mango and Watermelon for my lips, and it's a nice tint of colour for going out into the real world, as well. LOL

I'm also enjoying Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum and Glow Recipe Strawberry BHA Pore-Smooth Blur Drops 1 oz / 30 mL in my morning routine. My skin seems to respond well to them.

Lastly, I finally got around to trying the L'Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil Mini 2.5 oz/ 75 mL # from last year's L'Occitane Classic Advent Calendar and am really liking it, so will probably end buying more as soon as there's snow in the forecast! It does seem to clean my skin without stripping it, though I have to be sure to exfoliate separately.

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@Westcoasty  Great favs!! That fresh balm is a must! Especially in the winter!

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@ather  Yes, I really like it! I just have to stop buying balms, as I think I have about a two-year supply at present. LOL

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

That shower oil feels so nice @Westcoasty!

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@faeriegirl  It sure does! I have no idea how they do that, but I appreciate the end result. 😊

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@Westcoasty Have not had the chance to try out the L'Occitane Shower Oil yet but I really want to get my hands on it ASAP since I'm so late to the party. ❤️

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@QueenMarceline   It's a lovely treat for your skin, for sure! You could always try the L'Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil Mini 2.5 oz/ 75 mL to see if you like it. 😊

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@Westcoasty Definitely will need to put this on my next haul list, it's been waiting in the loves list too long haha! 🙂

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@QueenMarceline  You definitely should! It definitely boosts that time in the shower. 🚿

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@Westcoasty I love a good shower oil!  Something about it just bumps up my shower routine a few notches.

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@CookieGirl1   This is actually my first time using a shower oil - but it won't be my last! So lovely.

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

Ahhhh, the L’Occitane shower oil is such a treat. My skin loves it in the winter @Westcoasty

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@itsfi  I'm sure my skin will love it too! It usually gets so chapped from showering that I hope this helps. 😊

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@Westcoasty, I’ve stopped taking really hot showers 🚿 and have been slathering myself with a body oil or a body cream right after getting out of the shower, to help with the extra dryness the fall and winter brings.

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@itsfi   I try to avoid really hot showers, but sometimes the heat just feels so good! But I certainly ought to follow your example and put on cream or oil while my skin is still damp. In past winters I've been putting it on in bed at night, instead, since mornings have always been a bit tight for time on work days. I need to do better. 😊

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@Westcoasty, you are not alone in needing to do better. I definitely have my moments of being on a roll, but there are so many other moments - soooo many - where I'm so far from being consistent with it. I'm thinking I should place my body cream or oil, or both, on the bathroom counter, apply that right after the shower when my skin is damp. Putting it front and center could help. 🤔 A new project for the rest of the week. lol

P.S. Ohhhh, hot showers. Love them. They do feel so good. The skin on my face has improved since I've stopped with the really hot showers - I used to have redness, mild rosacea and while I still get flare ups every once in a while, it's so much better.

Re: Monthly Favorites: November 2023 Edition!

@itsfi   Oh man, I tried putting my lotions and creams on my bathroom counter, but somehow they never made it onto my legs! I always love those little movie moments, where the heroine is smoothing lotion onto her shapely, perfectly shaved legs, but somehow it's always awkward when I do it, trying to prop my foot on the counter to get good access. LOL

My nightstand actually carries a number of products I won't typically use otherwise. Body cream, lip masks, floss picks, foot spray...maybe I need a vanity there instead! 😂
