Monthly Faves: June 2024!

Happy Summer, BIC! I know I’ve been ready for it, and I’m eager to embrace the sunshine with low-maintenance hairstyles, cool down with some self-care, and streamline my makeup routine for a look that’s juuust dewy enough -- only in the places where I want to be. 😅 Some of these picks were even inspired by my fellow Community members, but then again, that’s nothing new! BIC knows best. 😇

Here are some of the products I’ve been picking up the most in June:

@missjeanie, oh good, so happy I could help. I'll try to remember to keep an eye on wear time tomorrow to let you know when the color starts to fade and with what activity. 

Oh my goodness, I think a points haul is very strategic of you - I mean, some of our fellow BIC beauties have really been scoring some fabulous treats from the Rewards Bazaar - Rewards Bazaar Trophy Room 

I have 3 days, 6 hours, 2 minutes, 12 ... 11... 10 seconds ... until my no buy June is over and I'm happy to see that the points multiplier event will still be going on when the clock strikes midnight on my haul hibernation. 😁 It seems as if I just need to hang in here a little longer. In the meantime, I'll spend some time deciding what I want to haul - I have feeling that will not be a problem. 😂🤣😂

And, I'm thinking ... thinking ... thinking ... 🤔 

And adding items to my cart 🛒 😅

@itsfi I did some some wonderful point perks in the rewards thread that quite a few people hauled.  Talk about some great steals!!!

I have faith you can make it 3 days n a few hours for your no buy.  

Do you have anything that's been burning a hole in your cart?  What's the first order going in come Canada Day??

lol @missjeanie, I think I'm more motivated to keep to my no buy because I don't want to disappoint you or your faith in my sticking to my no buy for these last few days. I've been very pleased with how well my distractions from buying have been working this year and particularly this month - between shopping my stash, working on my pan items, using the makeup in my weekly capsules, etc., I've been realizing I have some good things to choose from I'm not just realizing this for the first time, but it's more being confirmed that I just have a lot of stuff in general to choose from, lol! 🤣

Nothing in my cart that I feel I must get immediately, but the things that I'm more likely to pick up the first day are:

Skinfix barrier+ Ceramide + Ectoin Hydrating Gentle Gel Cleanser 5 oz / 150 mL - it's new, it's includes some good ingredients, it's Skinfix, a Canadian brand. Feels like I should get it on July 1 in honor of my Canadian BIC friends and Canada Day. 

EADEM Le Chouchou Exfoliating + Softening Peptide Lip Balm because it's Eadem, it's a lip balm and ... need I say more? Ha! 

Debating whether it's a wise decision to go for the Ceremonia Mini Bestsellers Hair Wellness Set - I love the guava leave-in conditioner but picked up a full size at the end of May; have wanted to try the Guava mask and it's a mini size, which is great, but I have plenty of hair masks that have not yet been open so there's that; the papaya scrub sounds interesting; and then there's the pre-wash hair oil - I'm not sure my hair is meant for the pre-wash hair oil life. As I write all this out, it's looking less likely this set will be part of a Day 1 end of no buy haul. 

Then there are the non-beauty items on my list, none of which I need.

@itsfi  I was looking at the EADEM Le Chouchou Exfoliating + Softening Peptide Lip Balm Bissap Glaze - deep plum berry  as well, it was out of stock when I was peeking last week, but I'll have to keep an eye out!  

And we love supporting a Canadian brand on Canada Day!  🇨🇦

I'll keep an eye out for a hual in the next week or so!

@missjeanie, I’ve been impressed with the Eadem line. Not everything is a HG for me but that’s to be expected. Still loving the dark spot serum ♥️ and these lip balms are making it awfully hard to stick with just one. I mean, sure, that’s always been a problem for me when it comes to lip balms 😝, but … so many lip balm releases, just this one pair of lips. Fortunately, I’m well versed in using multiple lip products throughout the day, as the bottom of my handbag can testify to. 🤣

@CorgiMommy, thank you; there was a lot of shopping my stash this month since I've been on a no-buy. Nice to know that the things I do have are things I enjoy.

I've heard so many great things about the Tower 28 skin tint - I might have to finally try it now that you're saying it's the 🐐 !!!

Thank you @AlexBT! I love the Tower 28; I feel like I've repurchased it at least 2 or 3 times by now. I'm recalling that you like the Hourglass skin tint, yes? The Tower 28 has more coverage - I'd say it's more of a skin-tint-plus, but it can be sheered out.

Amazing faves @itsfi I’ve been meaning to try the Tatcha The Serum Stick Line-Smoothing Treatment & Touch Up Balm 0.28 / 8g im so glad to hear you had a great experience with these faves. 🫶

Thank you @peculiarzmakeup! When Tatcha first came out with this serum balm, I wasn't super wowwed with it, but I gave it a second chance at another point in time and have really enjoyed it since then. You can also use it under your eyes mid-day to refresh and hydrate the under eye area - which is an area for me that can get dry throughout the day.

@ather, thank you. It's been a no-buy month and I've used the opportunity to put products, both new to me and ones that have been well loved, to good use. Love that! ❤️

Yeah, I keep Touchland hand sanitizers, SPF and lip balm around in more than one place. 😆 I can't help it. Maybe I should do the same thing with cuticle oil - perhaps that will help with my nail care?! Hmmmm.... something I will have to consider. Okay, so I have to ask, which Touchland scent(s) is/are your favorite(s)?

@itsfi  Smart! I keep cuticle oil all over. Even in my work bag. I guess I am the same with SPF and lip balms! 

I have only tried Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer Blue Sandalwood  and it smells amazing! I love how convenient it is to throw in my bag and not worry about it exploding 💥

Oh, the Blue Sandalwood scent is wonderful @ather; I'm partial to that one and to the peach scent. I also like to keep the unscented one on hand in case there are folks around me who are not as into fragranced hand sanitizer as I am. 😆

Ahhh, thank you; you're very kind to say that @ather. I've learned that there are certain people who are not fond of my scented products for a host of reasons, one being it's too girly for them, so if I'm going to have any chance of them wearing SPF or using hand sanitizer, unscented it is! 😂 I also don't want people around me to feel like I'm overdoing it on any scent - I really don't want to be that person who everyone wants to get off the elevator STAT because his/her/their perfume or cologne is just too much! 😬

@itsfi  I highly doubt you would be the person with tooo much scent on!!!! I’m sure you use just the perfect amount. But still so kind of you not to use it to bother others!
