Feedback Wanted: TeamBIC’s 2023 Holiday Gratis Thread

It’s the holiday season, BIC! ⛄❄️ This year, we gave select members a chance to unbox 10 days of Community Faves as a token of our appreciation for their participation in the Beauty Insider Community. Community Favorites are some of the most talked-about products among members, and we thought we would celebrate these tried-and-true holy grails by gifting them to some of you! 🎁

This thread is a place for those who are receiving these goodies from us to share their gratis – though this won’t be your traditional unboxing. 😉 Without giving too much away, we are highlighting 10 days’ worth of Community Faves, meaning that you’ll have 10 Sephora products to unveil across 10 days … should you choose to refrain from opening them all at once (no judgement either way 😄).

Though our recipients’ packages may take varying time to get delivered, they should all arrive before mid-December. 💙 While you’re free to begin unboxing your gratis as you wish when you receive it, we are challenging you to post photos and share your thoughts on each of the products according to the schedule below so we can all experience the unboxing magic together (starting with the gift labeled “Day 1”)! You can absolutely post product photos and reactions earlier if you like – we might just suggest hiding them behind a spoiler tab to keep the surprise alive for fellow recipients who are still on their unboxing journey. 🙏

LOL @CynthieLu  - I began moving into my new place today, and it was a cluster-duck in several ways. I have no brain left for guessing what might be in the boxes! I'm very much looking forward to it, though. I'm just willing to wait for the surprise. 😊

@CynthieLu   I had to giggle when I read "have fun", because right now I'm not definitely not having fun! But I expected that, as with any move. I think the fun of settling in will be my Christmas present to myself, because the movers come on December 23, to take all my furniture to the new place.

That said, this gratis is definitely something to boost my spirits this month while I'm in the middle of deep cleaning two places, and packing and moving boxes! Without specifying particular products, I'm hoping for a great lip oil, a great mascara, a great brow product, and maybe a fragrance that doesn't bother my sensitivities. And if they include a handsome man who loves doing foot massages, I wouldn't say no to that either. 😂

@JoSometimes fingers crossed!  I've heard so much about it that I want to try it, too.  Meanwhile, I tried tarte tartelette™ tubing mascara Black for the first time today.  It was wonderful!  It's a bit challenging because mine arrived with a spooling that was bent.

Still, I thought my eyes looked amazing today and my wing came out good.  I didn't want to wash it off.

But I had a weird encounter with a new boss's boss at work today.  He was unfriendly and I do understand why.  Even though I was wearing my N95 when we met, I had a funny Elaine Benes moment:

I think K18 is definitely a community favorite, and I could totally see either Laniege or a Summer Fridays balm being in it this too. I've heard great things about both from so many members in the threads.

I think I would guess we might see something from Glow Recipe included. They have sooo many great products. 🍉 🩷

I'm still stumped on lippies.  I see a lot of posts about DIOR Lip Glow Oil .  Maybe a newbie like Tower 28 Beauty ShineOn Lip Jelly Hydrating Non-Sticky Lip Gloss Sesame 

Maybe a gratis upon gratis like a Sephora Favorites.   Sephora Favorites Sephora Favorites Perfume Sampler Set .  Sol de Janeiro or Kay Ali.

Ooooh I think you're on to something @greeneyedgirl107 with the Dior lip oil. Not only a community favorite, but I've heard it's good from YouTubers too.

I would love to see any of the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Stain's. I hear they leave a beautiful stain behind. 🤩

@CynthieLu The texture was a bit weird because I was expecting oil consistency but it's more of an oil and stain mix. But I can confirm the stain it left behind is beautiful.
