Feedback Wanted: TeamBIC’s 2023 Holiday Gratis Thread

It’s the holiday season, BIC! ⛄❄️ This year, we gave select members a chance to unbox 10 days of Community Faves as a token of our appreciation for their participation in the Beauty Insider Community. Community Favorites are some of the most talked-about products among members, and we thought we would celebrate these tried-and-true holy grails by gifting them to some of you! 🎁

This thread is a place for those who are receiving these goodies from us to share their gratis – though this won’t be your traditional unboxing. 😉 Without giving too much away, we are highlighting 10 days’ worth of Community Faves, meaning that you’ll have 10 Sephora products to unveil across 10 days … should you choose to refrain from opening them all at once (no judgement either way 😄).

Though our recipients’ packages may take varying time to get delivered, they should all arrive before mid-December. 💙 While you’re free to begin unboxing your gratis as you wish when you receive it, we are challenging you to post photos and share your thoughts on each of the products according to the schedule below so we can all experience the unboxing magic together (starting with the gift labeled “Day 1”)! You can absolutely post product photos and reactions earlier if you like – we might just suggest hiding them behind a spoiler tab to keep the surprise alive for fellow recipients who are still on their unboxing journey. 🙏

@CynthieLu Hooray! That’s so nice  of your landlord to grab it on your behalf and keep it safe. It’s certainly a very tempting package for porch pirates to grab.

@CynthieLu  BIC sure does know what's good! I really have no clue what's inside. I'm guessing maybe a hand cream or foot cream might be nice for cold weather? And perhaps a lip mask? Something sparkly like a lipstick or shadow would be fun for the holidays. Or maybe some of the items from the sephora collection advent calendar? A warm, wintery fragrance would be fun. I clearly have no idea! 🙂

A lip, hand or foot mask would be fabulous for this dry weather. Dryness from our heads to our toes is a battle this time of year.

I'm so excited about this gratis @TeamBIC put together. There's something about surprises that just fill us with lovely excitable anticipation. I'm sooo thrilled to be a part of it and can't wait to start digging in. 😍 I imagine I'm opening them soon too start using them before the big the reveal days 😺

@CynthieLu  How wonderful of your landlord to save it for you! That would break my heart if I lost mine. The postie here knows where to hide packages for me so they can't be seen from the street, but the couriers aren't as familiar (despite me leaving instructions on my order when I can). So I'll be keeping a sharp eye out for my box. It looks like it's too big to hide!

(I usually get shipping notices but for some reason I hadn't received any this time. The only contact I got was an email saying it had been delivered. I was at work and I texted my landlord too see if he was in the building. I so lucky he was and was kind of enough to hold on to it for me.)

@CynthieLu  Well, I got a notification from UPS about a package being shipped, and I already have a UPS account set up for tracking packages (who me, order way too much online? Nahhh). So maybe it's because the information matched what Sephora entered for shipping. I admit I gave it the sniff test first, though - lots of scammers out there!

Anyhow, my box originated in Dallas, TX, looked like, and I know I didn't order anything from there! So it must be the gratis. It's in the next small city over from me now, but I don't know if UPS delivers on weekends. I don't think so, unless they change it up for the holiday season. Scheduled delivery date is Monday.

And your landlord sounds awesome! I'm going to miss mine, for sure.
