Who is your favorite YouTube artist?
Lisa Eldridge - she is a pro MUA, has diverse models on her channel (many beauty gurus I see primarily make themselves up and can't advise viewers on a variety of issues). Also, if I recall correctly, her ad revenue goes to charity.
PONY Syndrome - she uses a lot of Asian products - from cheap to expensive ones. The videos are well produced and I love that they are in Korean.
sichenmakeupholic - I like how she designs her videos and her instructions are very precise.
Edward Avila - he is hilarious and has introduced me to many Asian products. He has so many product reviews.
Pony! I love watching her videos.
She's a professional, does make-up for one of my fave K-starts (CL.)
She was also in school for graphic design before becoming a make-up artist, so I love how well-thought out her color schemes and applications are. Hands down my fave artist on Youtube.
Alissa Ashley seems so sweet. She's all about positive energy, it seems like. Maybe if you like to watch vloggers totally roast products she's not the right one (although her Subculture review ripped it a new one!) because she really tries to give honest pros and cons to everything. She isn't infuriatingly self-promoting or vapid like many YouTube beauty gurus (*cough* Lauralee *cough*). She also does a lot of actual tutorials and seems to actually know what she's doing.
I've always loved Jaclyn Hill and Kathleen Lights! Super fun and entertaining videos that are easy to follow. My friend JorDiershow has a channel that is really good quality too!
I love Tati, BeautyWithEmilyFox (she is a french Canadian ๐ <3), JeanFrancoiscd (an amazing makeup artist) and of course Lisa Eldridge, my favorite makeup artist of all times, she makes natural effortless looks and works in the product development for Lancome, amazing!
Hey everyone,
I was thinking of starting a new thread, but decided to revive this one instead, since it's almost exactly what I'm looking for. I'm interested to hear who people's favorite YouTube artists are and why, but unfortunately a lot of the posts in this thread say who the favorite artists are but don't explain why.
My favorite person to watch is Wayne Goss, for two main reasons:
1. He has a soothing presence. A lot of YouTube artists seem to be pretty bubbly and chatty, which is totally fine but just not my thing.
2. He's not into the big eyebrows and extreme highlight that so many other YouTube artists seem to be about. He preaches a more under-stated method of applying makeup. Again, if you love big eyebrows I'm not knocking you, but it's not my thing.
So I came in here wondering if I could find any recommendations of YouTube artists who have a sort of similar style/presence to him. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
Nice bump up @IciclePop !
I have a few favorites but three that I think you would like.
The first is Stephanie Nicole. She does more reviews than tutorials but the amount of research she does in insane. She always does a complete cost break down, swatches with a finger and brush when applicable and she actually tries out the products (especially skin care) instead of doing random first impressions. She just really provides no bs reviews and doesn't really get into the whole drama of youtube. The amount of work she puts in is super obvious in the quality of the product she puts out. I really feel that I can trust what she says and I've used products shes recommended with good results.
The second is thataylaa. She has a very soothing voice in my opinion and she does a lot of videos on foundation. She has struggled a lot with acne and texture so her reviews and tutorials make it really obvious when something works or it doesn't work. Again she has a procedure which I really like - every review is the same so it's not giving preference to one thing over another or reviewing tons of free products and such.
The third is Tarababyz . She's actually a makeup collector so she has a lot of experience with products and she does lots of tutorials and hauls with new products she picks up. She is just very chill and is really great for checking out tutorials on new products but since she's spending her own money it doesn't feel like shes trying to sell you anything.
Livloveshermakeup, shaanxo, Zabrena, Allana Davison, Angela Bright, Jaclyn Hill, Jeffree Star, Jkissa, Lauren Curtis, pixiwoo, Shelbey Wilson, Laura Lee, Nikkie Tutorials, Mary Greenwell, Wayne Goss, Kayla Hagey, Lisa Eldridge, Mallory1712, Patrick Starrr, Tati.......dang I watch a lot of YouTube lol!!!!!!
My faves are Kathleen Lights, Tati, RawBeautyKristi, Shaanxo, thattaylaa, NikkiaJoy, Brianna Fox, Bailey Sarian, CaseyHolmes, Mariah Leonard, Stephanie Lange, Wayne Goss and Jackie Aina
They all kick a**!
