@greeneyedgirl107- At least Paula's Choice put some thought into their form letter; and for the most part, used first person. Unlike Unilever's form letter, which is rather brusque and in third person. I hope that is not a reflection of the company.

@greeneyedgirl107 Ah, I forgot this is the Unilever's "Prestige Group" division. See, I really never associate Unilever with beauty brands. 🤣 I forgot all about their Hourglass purchase. Anyway, this makes me even less concerned.

Does anyone know what’s going on with Marc Jacob Beauty?

the beauty sphere seems to be blowing up with rumors because all the products are on sale.

One blogger claims a Sephora employee told them the brand was shuttering, trendmood says the brand is 100% not closing their makeup and skincare, and a third has said they are ending their kendo relationship so expect “changes”.

@Kim888 I was very concerned when I saw the Marc Jacobs Beauty Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner on sale weeks ago at Sephora (before the April sale, I believe). I e-mailed MJ, and their CS said they were not discontinued the liner. I posted on BIC's CS thread, and the mod sd they MJ is discontinuing some of the colors, but that the black (i.e. "Blacquer") is not being discontinued. I've still been concerned. I saw today that MJ is having a sitewide 50% off sale. I bought 4 of the fineliners, which will mean I will have a total of six back-ups as I purchased a couple a while back. If anyone hears anything, I'm all ears. I loathe it when companies discontinue products and keep customers in the dark. I know there may be more going on here, but I'd want to know sooner rather than later.

@greeneyedgirl107 i emailed them a while ago about the bronzer and they said the same. I have since found other bronzers i love more. At one point when the gel liners had issues i discovered the milk liners. Now it seems like those may be getting discontinued as well

@aviscardi It's so frustrating to have to find replacements! There aren't many skinny liners out there, so I will be quite disappointed if MJ goes under, of if they reformulate/redesign their lines or discontinue products. There are so many scenarios, but none of them seem very good.

Ditto. I had milk in brown and black i was using both for my waterline. But then when the world went to hell last year i switched to wfh and wasn’t using them often enough so i eventually had to toss them. Now i haven’t looked / found for a replacement yet. The even skinner ones like MJ and HG is even harder to come by

@aviscardi I'm going to look into NYX and see if they have a skinny liner. I used to use HG, but went through them in about 3-4 weeks. I also think L'Oreal might have had one, but it wasn't skinny enough for me or something.

If you are looking for something for your waterline, I rec SEPHORA COLLECTION 12 Hour Contour Pencil Eyeliner . I've used Tiramisu on my waterline for years. I used to use another shade for my upper lid, but it got discontinued.

What's Up Nails, an AZ based store and website that sells indie polishes and nail supplies, recently rebranded to What's Up Beauty. While they do have a few things under their own house label, I had assumed that they were perhaps going to start carrying some indie beauty, since that seems to be the bulk of their polish business, but nope, they are debuting their own line of makeup! IG pics show eyeshadow, brushes, maybe lipsticks (ETA: on second look, maybe those are the tops of the polish bottles?), and their first ever line of regular polishes. Launch date this Friday, May 28!

5/28 ETA: palette $41, polishes $12.75 ea, 6 eye brushes (goat hair, made in Japan) $20-23 ea. They've got some bundles at a 10-15% discount as well!
