When I was having a tuff time with my oily skin I used the OLEHENRIKSEN - Balance It All™ Essentials Set and it really helped! Also try to use a retinol at night every third night and then every other night once you build up tolerance. It’s really a game changer! I’ve heard The INKEY List Retinol Fine Lines and Wrinkles Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL is good and the ingredients add up to the positive reviews. If you find that you’re getting too dry remove the toner step and replace it with an essence. I hope this helps, I know having oily skin sucks! Also Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation 4W4 Hazel is the holy grail foundation for oily skin.
I wear a 10 neutral in Charlotte tilbury airbrush what would be color match in the hollywood collection?
So excited for wellness week! I am trying to do everything I can to boost my immunity and I know that some adaptogens like turmeric and reishi can help. My question is about products that contain turmeric, specifically.
Have any of you tried any of the turmeric products from Golde or the MOON JUICE - Cosmic Gold? I've been adding turmeric and black pepper to so much of my food just in case it can help in the slightest bit!
This week we’re switching gears to wellness! One of my fav topics as I love how I can incorporate these products into my love of cooking, and as an added bonus they may help with your health goals like improving immunity or reducing stress. While we are not healthcare experts, David, Jeffrey and I have been loving so many of the wellness products at Sephora and will do our best to answer your wellness questions for the next week! Be sure to let us know your wellness goals (Boosting immunity? Managing stress? Getting better sleep?) and we will do our best to recommend products that are meant to help with your goals.
To get the conversation started, I thought I would share my MOON JUICE - Dream Dust® Golden Tumeric latte recipe! My friends and family have come to expect it after a dinner party at my place.
Moon Juice’s dusts are full of good-for-you adaptogens. Adaptogens are plants, mushrooms and minerals that ADAPT to you so they do something different for everyone. For me, Dream Dust helps me have a restful night and this particular recipe curbs my sweet tooth in a healthier way than late night cookies. The MOON JUICE - Full Moon Dust® Box is a great way to try some of Moon Juice’s most popular adaptogenic blends but they’re also sold separately.
8 oz of almond milk (or your preferred milk)
1/2 tsp ground tumeric
A dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, ground clove, black pepper to taste
1 tbs. raw honey or Manuka honey if you have it
I packet or 1-2 tsp of MOON JUICE - Dream Dust®
1 teensy pinch of cayenne pepper if you’re feeling sassy
Heat all ingredients up in a saucepan but don’t let it come to a boil.
My preferred method is actually using a milk frother on the warm setting as it helps to evenly distributes the dust. Add a dash of heavy whipping cream if you want a whipped cream effect and add more honey if you like and enjoy. Monkfruit is a great sugar alternative with no aftertaste. Also, the black pepper is optional but its said to enhance the absorption of the turmeric.
It's the perfect little comforting nighttime treat that gets you ready for bed.
What are your wellness goals? Be sure to share your question in a reply to this thread!
Oooh sounds good! Just ss that recipe
I am looking for a powder and a liquid full coverage foundation for combination skin, matte and especially anti aging
I have oily combination skin but I prefer a Rick cream moisturizer rather than gel moisturizers. I have a hard time finding a rich cream moisturizer that is deeply hydrating. Any suggestions?
Instantly I'm drawn to tell you about the FRESH - Jumbo Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer. This cushiony gel-cream pairs Hyaluronic Acid with Hydro-Patches to attract moisture and hold it in the skin. Then the added Angelica Leaf Extract boosts the retention properties to round a trio of top performing technologies that tout a twenty-four-hour hydration. Not to mention that if you grab it during the upcoming Spring Savings Event you'll get even more value! For an added treat I personally love to use this product as a mask while soaking in the bath. I apply a medium-thick layer on cleansed skin, and sink a bit lower into the tub so that my face gets a little steam, which softens the skin and supplies the hyaluronic with an extra dose of water molecules to hold on to. Then if you like, you rinse or simply massage the excess in.
I am 23 years old and looking for products to use for large, clogged pores and blackheads. Sometimes I break out around my mouth but that is not a huge concern. I have very sensitive skin and it has been very dry.
Im 23 years old with combination/oily skin.
I would like a Vitamin C serum, but all the ones that I’ve tried are very sticky and heavy on my skin. Any suggestions? I’ve also been told to use retinol, but I am trying to ball on a budget. Do you have any recommendations on retinol serums that aren’t too pricy? The skin under my eyes looks like it’s sinking into my face, but all the eye creams that are popular are all for de-puffiness. Are there any good eye creams that help plump the under eye area?
I’m a Asian, how can I know what shaped foundation is right for me?
Do you all prefer liquid eyeliner or a gel eyeliner? How do I set it to also stay on during the day?
Hi. I was looking for advice for a skin care routine. I am 34 and live in florida and I current dont have a skin care routine. My skin for the most part is normal. Occasionally I get a little redness in the area near my nose but that comes and go. I also have blackhead near the nose area as well. I am just looking for a routine that will keep my skin, young, and hydrated. As I get older, I want to be able to protect it from getting fines lines and wrinkle as well. Since I never had a skin care rountine, I don't know where to beginning. I just want something simple and easy to follow. I also would like the products to feel light and not greasy on my face. What products recommendations and skin routine can you recommend me to follow?
Hi. I'm 24 year old female. I'm looking for products to help with ance scars and redness on my face. I get 2 or 3 whiteheads a week. My face always feels dumpy and rough unless I use my clarisonic brush every night.I have combination skin. Some times my face is oily and dry others, really depends on the weather. My skin is slightly sensitive. My face always feels super dry after washing my face. I have tried multiple products before. Currently I'm using Elemis products. I'm open to suggestion . Thank you
Hi! I’m a 16-year-old female with very dry and dehydrated skin. I’m focusing on having hydrated skin and brightening my skin, I want my skin to be more glowing/dewy without having to use makeup. I also have very textured skin and would like my skin to be more smooth and soft. I’m looking for the following things for my night routine: 2 face washes for double cleansing, toner, serum, moisturizer, a mask that I could use every once in awhile, and a face oil. If you could tell me good products for those specific things that would be great!
Do you think the Forero Luna Play Plus is good and what does it do?
Also what do you think about Tatcha Dewy skin cream and Tatcha cleansing oil?
I’m also wondering how to pick the right concealer shade for NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer?
you can find dupes of the foreo everywhere now if you want to try to see how they work. I got one on AliExpress for less than $10 for travel, and it worked exactly the same.
I also have very dry and dehydrated skin, and over the years I've found things that hydrate it and make it glowy without breaking me out! I use the clinique cleansing oil and then the first aid beauty facial cleanser for a double cleanse, the OleHenriksen dark spot toner for gently exfoliating and brightening for some glow, and then the caudalie vinoperfect radiance serum (if you buy it on Amazon, it's half price). A really great moisturizer for the day is the differen spf 30 moisturizer. I know it says it is oil absorbing and for oily skin, but I have severely dry skin and I find that it hydrates it really well and makes my face super glowy. It also won't break you out. For night time, belif has some really good moisturizers, and for a facial oil, the tarte maracuja oil is great because it makes my skin really soft, and it also brightens with vitamin c. If you want some inexpensive options, the face shop has a really well priced cleansing oil, cerave has a great hydrating cleanser, I would still recommend the OleHenriksen toner, and Elizavecca has a great hyaluronic acid serum. I would start with the 97% one. For moisturizer, I would still recommend the differen one for the day and garnier's hydrating gel at night (the pink one is for dry skin). I don't really know of any cheaper facial oils that won't break you out, but the first aid beauty one is cheaper than the tarte one. For masks, try the Summer Fridays jet lag mask. Hope this helps!
Hi, First of all I love watching the videos that you guys post. I wanted to ask how do I select a good foundation for my skin. I'm 35. Brown girl but not too dark skin. How do I know what tone I am. Also need to know how can I tell if I have large pores or not.
