Hello BIC! We are starting this thread and updating it the first Monday of every month to welcome all of our new BIC Members and show them some love. If you happen to see anyone who is new to the community feel free to share this thread with them!
Maybe you are new to the Beauty Insider Community and still figuring it out, or maybe you’ve been here for a while but haven’t had the chance to say hello! Either way, we want to welcome you into our beauty-loving family, so don’t be shy- pop in and introduce yourself! We’re already happy to e-meet you. 🙂
New members! Please reply below to introduce yourself and tell us: If you could splurge on any beauty product for yourself this season, what would it be? Use the "#" symbol to tag it in your response. 😊
Mickey is adorable!!! <333 Makeup is such a fun form of self-care - and yes, we all could use a little extra of it in these days. A good reminder - thank you! Welcome to BIC @tigergirl20!
Welcome to BIC @tigergirl20 ! You're definitely in the right place! Also, I'm not ashamed to admit I booped Mickey's nose through my laptop screen. 😂❤️
@tigergirl20 Welcome to BIC! Super cute pic of you and your dog
Welcome!
I'm 42 years old and never really wore make-up. I'm a natural girl, but I would like to have a more polish look. My go to products are based on skin care. Just right now, I am loving the First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask.
Welcome aboard, @BallerinaBlue ! You just reminded me to take another look at the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask 2 oz/ 60 mL and maybe add the mini to my cart to test. 🙂
EDIT: Hmm, looks like I was able to tag a product that's not available online (in the US) via Sephora. That's interesting... tagging @KatieBT in case I forget to mention this in the BIC bug thread later.
Love skincare @BallerinaBlue! ♥️ Welcome to BIC!
Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette
Welcome to BIC @Ravss ! Which Natasha Denona palette would you grab first? I have some of her big palettes but I kinda prefer her 5-pans ( Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 10 — my favorite one is actually no. 5 but I can't tag it).
Great choice @Ravss! I have been working on using all the shadows in my Natasha Denona Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette Full Size Biba Neutral Eyeshadow Palette. Her shadows are wonderful! Welcome to BIC!
Hello beautiful people! My name is Sophia. I'd say i'm a beginner to makeup. I've been doing my makeup since I was in middle school, let's say 2010-2011. However for the past two years I stopped wearing and experimenting with makeup as much as I use to. I'm barley getting back into it and trying new looks. I have almond eyes that are hooded and I stopped wearing winged eyeliner in high school after being made fun of for doing it 'wrong'. I hated my eyes since then but recently decided to embrace what I was born with and try winged liner again as well as nose contouring. I'm so excited to expand my knowledge here with all of you, and get your well needed advice/inspo! If I could splurge on any beauty product(s) for myself this season it would be on ABH eyeshadow palettes, Foundation, and Lipsticks.
Fun Fact: My partner actually likes to help me pick out my makeup and give me tips himself. It's super adorable. He even helped me find the perfect foundation shade (which I've always had trouble with and would get very dark ones with the wrong undertone). I've been so happy with the one he picked for me which is the Revlon ColorStay Makeup Foundation for Combo Skin in the Shade 150 Buff. I've been using this brand/shade for 2 years now and I love it!
Welcome to BIC @Anonymous ! I also have hooded eyes and often wing from my bottom lash line—sometimes just from the bottom of my outer corner—instead of my lid. That helps me ensure my wing is very visible. But really, there's no "right" or "wrong" way to do it. 🙂There's your way, and that's all that matters!
Also, hooray for eagerly helpful partners!
