We know it’s early but we’ve been taking about holiday for a while over here at

Sephora and we thought it would be a lot of fun to bring the best advice-givers and holiday experts into the conversation. Our goal is to make gifting easier for others who may need a little assistance… Because buying gifts for your co-workers can seem impossible and it’s hard to shop for someone who already has everything!

The plan is to create gift lists according to five categories:

1. $25 and under (stocking stuffers, gifts for co-workers)
2. People you don’t know THAT well (your in-laws, your kid’s teacher, a white elephant gift)
3. That person who already has it all (your beauty-obsessed BFF, a fellow community member)

For the $25 and under lipglosses or liquid lipsticks are really good stocking stuffers brands like Huda or Bare Minerals aren't very expensive and work well! For people you dont know well I'd get the Peter Thomas Roth mask sampler or anything travel/sample sized. Then they can try it and if they dont like it, only a small amount would go to waste. For the bff who has it all restock! Check what theyre running low on and restock it for them. Or check their pinterest/insta for inspiration on what new products they want. The youths normally start with eyeliner and lip gloss. Sephora brand glossy gloss and eyeliner are inexpensive but good quality! To treat yourself buy some Bobbi Brown highlighters!!

$25 AND UNDER: I would got for a mini kit, such as the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks or the Drunk Elephant Duos in the sample section of Sephora. Bomb stocking stuffers and for me, that's the most fun of the holiday makeup season is experimentation. SOMEONE YOU DONT KNOW THAT WELL: My favorite for this would be the Philosophy Handbooks. Classy yet universally appropriate. THE PERSON WHO HAS IT ALL: Gift card, obviously. That "person" already knows something they've been drooling over, however, if you wanted to be able to wrap something, I would do the Tatcha Bento Box, or a Sephora favorites box, such as the Lash Stash. Even if you have it all, you still want more. THE YOUTHS: This was tricky because Sephora has so much high end makeup and that's not always appropriate for teens, however, Colour Pop will be a HUGE win for teen gift giving in November. Outside of that, items from the Sephora line can be really novelty and fun for teens, like the spray blush, or easy to use highlight drops. TREAT YOURSELF: Natasha Denona Sunset Palette/Pat McGrath Sublime Palette. Jk purchasing both. This was fun! Great post 😊

The Sephora favourite packs always make great gifts. The lashes and lip samplers can also make good stocking stuffers. I love the samplers they are fun! I love shopping in the "impulse section" as you make your way to check out. I love finding new little things to try there. I personally am already dropping hits to my husband for the Dyson hair dryer! 🎁

For someone you don't know that well, I think a little lip stick, lip balm duo would be cute. Maybe by Bite Beauty? For the girl who has everything I think really unique eyeshadows would be cool because everyone likes to do fun looks occasionally with a bright shadow and the unique color/finish will make them more likely to actually use it. For someone just starting with makeup a clear/light pink lip gloss and a natural mascara are perfect. That's what my mom let me start with so it enhanced my natural beauty instead of covering things up.

for 1. and 2.) lip sets split up for stocking stuffers, secret santas, etc. for example, the Give Me More Lip set, Bite Beauty's sets, or the Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet set. You could give one or two per person at an average around $10-$15.

3.) A new release they might not have tried yet, like a Pat McGrath lipstick or Fenty Beauty highlighter

4.) the Tarte Brush Set, a Smashbox Cover Shot Palette, something from Colourpop when it arrives at Sephora

My suggestions below!

1. $25 and under (stocking stuffers, gifts for co-workers) I would suggest including things like Sephora's line of masks. They are affordable and would be easy to purchase for coworkers as you don't have to know their specific shade or scent. I also think a perfume sampler is a safe bet in addition to things like Jack Black balms. 
2. People you don’t know THAT well (your in-laws, your kid’s teacher, a white elephant gift) For this category I would do things like Cocofloss, Tartelette Mini Palette, and maybe even something like a mini brush set or cosmetic case. Everyone needs makeup brushes or makeup storage!  
3. That person who already has it all (your beauty-obsessed BFF, a fellow community member) If I was purchasing for my beauty-obsessed BFF I would gift her something from VB's collection with Estee, a Sephora favorites gift set, or a new perfume. 
4. The youths! (thinking tweens and beauty newbies) I would include makeup and skincare basics. Perhaps some cleanser from First Aid Beauty, Clinique Makeup remover, a fun everyday Dior gloss, and a staple mascara. 
5. Treat yourself! What do you want this holiday? I want ALL the things! I'm hoping to purchase more of the favorites kits. I purchased the Kate Somerville and First Aid Beauty kit during the Rouge shopping event but there are some more things I'm eyeballing. I also am drooling over the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette.

The stocking stuffers , $25 and under are a great idea! So agree! Especially for coworker gifts. I loved the 2 set Korres Hand Lotions Sephora had last season. They were only $15 and smell so amazing!!! I wish they sold more Korres period, reminds me of being back in Greece. ❤️
