Drybar glitter gang

I have now purchased 3 drybar blow dryers and none have worked as they’re supposed to. I have never been so disappointed in a product. I got rid of my perfect Harry josh blow dryer to get this “limited edition” glitter drybar dryer and I have so much regret. The first onemade a knocking sound after turning it off. Ordered another one thinking it was a fluke and it did the same thing. I go back to the store return both and try a third one and it seemed to be fine before i left the store but after using it on my whole head it not only made the knocking sound like the last two but extra clicking sounds! I’m so upset that I no longer have my HJ. I’ve also heard drybar tends to last less than a year and then just stops. I will be returning. Has this happened to anyone else? I can’t be this unlucky

Re: Drybar glitter gang

I purchased the Glitter Gang set a month ago at 50% off and I have to hold down the coolshot button for the entire time I want cool air. I heard that with the buttercup, if i press the coolshot button once that it’s supposed to just blow cool air and if I press it again that it will blow hot air out, kind of like an on and off button. Is the glitter buttercup a different hair dryer or is my coolshot button defective? It still works as a hair dryer but I’m just annoyed that I still have to hold down the coolshot button constantly. I’m contemplating if I should return this gift set is no longer available and was offered a refund option, I’m on the fence as it’d be the cheapest I could get the buttercup for. I’d never be able to justify AUD$300 retail on the buttercup even with Sephora’s 20% sales.

Re: Drybar glitter gang

Same here!!!! Have you found a solution or a response from Sephora/DryBar???

Re: Drybar glitter gang

Hi @scarlettsky I will admit I know nothing about Drybar blow dryers. I'm a stylist by trade and I can give you a few tips on choosing your next dryer...

*Don't pay attention to Watts - this is simply how much power it's sucking out of your outlet to run your dryer...higher watts does not equate to a more powerful dryer

*Salon quality dryers use AC motors VS. DC motors. AC motors are heavier and made to last approximately 700-1200 hrs. DC motors are lightweight and will last up to 400 hours. You decide whats best for you.

*Ceramic/Tourmaline/Titanium all do the same thing - produce negative ions which dry the hair faster. One isnt better then the other.

RE: Re: Drybar glitter gang

How do i find whether it’s AC Or DC?

Re: RE: Re: Drybar glitter gang

@scarlettsky It will say on the box somewhere, it legally has to.
