Cakey makeup

Literally, all of my makeup is cakey on me. When I do my sister's makeup it doesn't look cakey on her. My mom says its because of my dry skin but I use lotion and do everything I can to keep my skin hydrated. Does anyone recommend any products to help my dry skin/ makeup products that won't be cakey on me?

I have really dry skin too and have had the same problem with cakeyness. I have found I really enjoy the it cosmetics your skin but better CC cream. I feel like it just sits beautifully on my skin and is light enough for every day use but still has good coverage. And I’ve recently started using the Youth to the People adaptogen moisture cream for a moisturizer that I LOVE so far. It’s a little pricey but a little goes a long way. I highly recommend going in for samples to try those two out for yourself.
