Hello beautiful Beauty Insider Community members! 

 

We’re starting this thread for you guys to report any issues and weird things that you are seeing or ask any questions. We have a number of issues logged that we are already working on a fix for, so this is a work in process.

 

Some things to note as you are reporting issues:

  • If you are looking for a thread and can’t find it, please post here. We’ll need to manually move some threads that got lost in the migration to their correct groups.
  • If you are reporting a bug please be specific about the issue you're seeing, how you got there (“I clicked here and it did *this*”), the device you're using and which browser you're in. 

 

Some tips:

  • If you are looking for a thread that you commented on in the old community, go to the front page of conversations and click the “My Posts” tab. This is where you will find all of your conversations activity, including your heart count.

 

It’s good to see you all and thanks for being patient!

 

Whenever reporting a bug we need as much info as possible or our tech team cannot reproduce the issue and verify it's actually occurring. If they can't see the issue they cannot fix it. You cannot overshare details, test on too many devices or share too many screenshots... The more detail the better!

It also says I have 0 reviews. And I noticed since BIC started that my post number on my profile has always said "5" which is terribly wrong...

My reviews are at 0 too :(. I hope this is just temporary....

 

But I saw the replies are fixed on desktop!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!

Happy Monday all!

 

I wanted to post to share an update on where we are at and what we're working on. Here's what's going on: 

  • Third level replies are being fixed.
  • Threading order should be fixed for everyone but you must be signed in or you may still have problems.
  • We're fixing the app keyboard.
  • Recent photos will be coming back to the Conversations feed but we do not have timing.
  • On the issue of the Customer Service threads clogging the feed: We feel your pain and we're working on it. We do not have timing yet but it's one of our priorities. 
  • You should also see some movement in your ranks soon!

We're reading your comments and feel the same pain points as many of you. Thank you for the continuous feedback!

@KatieBT Thanks for keeping us all in the loop and for all the time and effort you're putting in on your end! It doesn't go unnoticed:). Things are slowly but surely improving.

 I'm grateful for the update!  Thank you!  And thank you to all the Mods and anyone else who has been working and is working to improve BIC for us!  What a big job!  

I'm curious about "Threads" that I have seen under Notifications that say "You Ranked up to Rookie I"  or  "You Ranked up to Boss III."  (These are not under Messages.)  When I click on those "Threads" they just take me to my profile.  Where I remain... "Confused."  🙂

Thank you for the update @KatieBT. I think we can all appreciate the dedication of you and the other moderators, and the hard work you've put into BIC! Definitely see the improvement since the launch 🙂

Thanks for the update @KatieBT. Looking forward to being able to use the app and not committing grammar faux pas. Also one more issue with app...your post looks fine on desktop but i find lists tend to have all paragraphs removed. Actually i think paragraphs can't exist in the app altogether!

@k617 this is definitely a pain point of mine! It isn't a bug it's actually how the app itself works because community is fancy! We also can't @mention or link in the app, a few quirks we have our eyes on changing in the future.

I wanted to add that since last week I have been having the old issue of not staying logged in and then several tries to log back on again.

 

Also, the influenster posts and people posting the same answer on dozens of random posts (to gain count likely) is getting kinda annoying. 

 

Like a few others, I am also hesitant to post my pictures here until there is some sort of album management back. As mentioned below, I rather see pinned posts or most used threads than a ranking list at the bottom - it is just taking up space that could be used for more useful things.
