Fenty Beauty Popup Shop NYC

This was such an awesome opportunity to have been chosen to view and play with the new Fenty Beauty products at the popup shop in NYC. It was such an amazing event and even the fact I was contacted about going was a complete shock. 

Being on Beautytalk (now the Community) has always felt like a safe, second home for me. I know lately I haven’t been as active but this forum holds a special place in my heart. Seeing the private message in my email Tuesday night, I could not even imagine I was being asked to attend this event on behalf of the Community Wednesday morning!!!! Thanks @KatieBT for reaching out to me and allowing me to have this experience. 

Now for the experience (and pics!!!). I arrived before the general public was allowed to enter the area. It was pretty surreal that I got to bypass the line that was already forming. Once given my wristband, I met with a rep from Kendo brands. She was super nice and linked me up with a brand ambassador from the UK. She showed me the new collection and even matched me to my fenty foundation shade. We both agree with 370, which I already own and love!!

Next, I got my eyeshadow touched up using the new Moroccan palette. I actually already have this habit of using the ginger/Moscow killawatts highlighter duo as eyeshadow and that’s what I was wearing today. The new palette complements the killawatts range very well. 

With my eyeshadow on point and glistening, I swatched the entire palette over the new eyelid primer. O.M.G!! Not only is the palette awesome without a primer, the new primer makes it crazy pigmented and beyond long lasting (like I washed off the swatch and I needed an actual makeup remover to get it off!!!) Must have for the upcoming heatwave in NYC this weekend!!! The collection also included 2 eyeshadow brushes and an eyeliner, well Flyliner, aptly named Cuz I’m Black 🤣 The brushes are wonderful and if you already have the face brushes, this completes the set!! (I have the body kabuki brush and it’s basically my foundation brush now lol) There’s an all over shadow brush and the other is a blending/crease brush. 

After swatching and mingling a bit, well...after snapping pics and selfies lol, Camille surprised me with a pr swag bag!!! The entire new moroccan spice collection!! I’m just like for me??? Unreal 🙂

Once the prelaunch whined down and opened up for the public, my beautiful sister met up with me and we took more pics and just enjoyed the ambiance. There was even complimentary hookah for the guests. I spotted a few youtubers and influencers. I swear I wanted to fangirl out but..shyness 🤷🏽‍♀️ 

Overall I am sooooo thankful and happy I got to attend this event. It also had an unintended (or intended effect)...it’s totally fun posting pics of myself on the Community!!! So hey y’all👋🏽 lol

Thanks everyone😅 It was such an incredible experience and reminded me of the Sephora events I used to attend years ago (like the ones that costs points, rouge events, brand events). It’s just fun mingling with makeup lovers and playing with new products.

The experience meant so much to me. I miss the closed door events that used to happen years ago. I’ve been out of the loop for a little while, I hope those still happen now too.
