finding a foundation color

I know the brands of foundation I like, but even when a rep from Estee Lauder "matched" my skin, I still feel like yet another one makes me even paler! I don't glob it on. I love liquid for better coverage. Anyway, I hear to match the color to your neck, forearm . . I've gone outside and although I know nothing will be absolutely comparable to my own skin, I really want to not look paler than I am. I think at one makeup color I was told I had yellows, greens or something. all I can say is I should have taken them all back but of course I continued using them. my daughters wedding is in june. I don't want to look so pale in a Taupe dress, outside! thank you!!

It sounds like you might have olive-y undertones (since you were told you had greens or something like that), which I think are harder to find matches for. Some makeup companies (like MUFE) make blue drops you can mix into foundations to alter the color match if you like the formula of your current foundation.

I wear (and love) stellar limitless foundation in s01. It is described as “very fair”, but it’s not super pale.

I do appreciate the info.  I did find one site so far that offers samples of foundation and blush etc.  I am going to check out your recs (:

@klm6120 koh do gen also offers samples on their website, and their 213 color is very green, but a tiny bit dark for me. You might look into getting a sample of that one as well.
