face masks

I am looking to invest in a good face mask to add to my skincare routine. I have a pretty simple skincare routine. I have combination skin with few blemishes. I am looking for any type of mask that would help with brightening the skin. I would like to avoid vitamin C since I am recently using  The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL and I have heard that it's not good to mix this with Vitamin C. Thank you!

Re: face masks

@Jennifer0 if you have sensitive skin & are concerned about any interaction just don't use vitamin c & the serum at the same time. You can still look into masks with vitamin c though. Also, niacinamide has brightening properties too. 😉

Re: face masks

Honestly, I'd still recommend checking out vitamin C products for helping with brightness, @Jennifer0. The claims about an interaction between vitamin C and niacinamide have been debunked and are based on old, outdated research. Some people may experience a light flushing, but that's fairly rare and doesn't have an effect on either product. If you're still concerned though, you could use one product in the a.m. and one at night.

RE: face masks

Herbivore Blue Tansy is AMAZING. It’s helped me with blemishes and hyperpigmentation. I can see results the next day every time I use it. It’s also very gentle

RE: face masks

I also use that Niacinamide serum and they don’t seem like they disagree so all good

Re: face masks

@Jennifer0 @ I would still recommendTATCHA Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask 1.7 oz/ 50 mL i use niacinamide at night and vit c during the day
