eye cream

hey! any recommendations for hydration eye creams. I'm starting to get fine lines and crow feet. I've tried drunk elephant CHARLOTTE tilbury Saturday night*

Re: eye cream

@SherylAllan  If you use a hydrating serum as part of your skincare routine, and its label doesn’t have an “avoid the eye area” type of warning, apply it to your undereyes and crow feet area (in addition to the rest of your face). I love hyaluronic acid as a humectant: this moisture magnet ingredient is in lots of my skincare products, including my cream moisturizer, but I get more HA bang for my buck in serums and essences/toners than creams. Any good hydrating serum will do. I use Farmacy Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry 1.0 oz/ 30 mL  under my eyes in the morning.

At night, my undereyes get DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE - Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum. I use a different retinol serum on the rest of my face every other night, but this DDG serum is a nightly thing. That serum does contain hyaluronic acid, but on some nights I layer THE ORDINARY - Buffet (a peptides + HA serum) over it for an extra PM dose of HA.

I don’t use an eye cream anymore. Instead I hydrate my undereyes with my full face moisturizer ( Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 mL ), often layering it with a facial oil (either e.l.f. Nourishing Facial Oil or HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil; I also like Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil with Squalane and Antioxidants 1 oz / 30 ml and The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL ). On subzero windy days, I top all that stuff with an occlusive (my favorite is Aquaphor Ointment) to create a stronger moisture barrier on my undereyes, and I apply it all the way up to my lower lash line.

When I did regularly use eye creams, the most moisturizing for me were Biossance Peptide Brightening & De-Puffing Eye Gel + Squalane 0.5 oz / 15 mL and BELIF - Moisturizing Eye Bomb. I quit the Belif cream mostly because it didn’t play nice with my favorite eye-area sunscreen. I quit the Biossance eye gel only because I wanted to simplify my whole routine by replacing that product with one I already use on my whole face. But I still love the Biossance eye gel.

This was longer than I meant it to be. 😄 I hope some of it is helpful!

RE: eye cream

Kiehls avocado eye cream is super moisturizing and feels sooo nice

Re: eye cream

@SherylAllan I second the BELIF - Moisturizing Eye Bomb

RE: eye cream

I love tatcha silk peony! Biossance is hydrating but i don’t recommend it for daytime because it makes my mascara bleed from my upper lashes to my under eyes.

Re: eye cream

Hi @SherylAllan,

I recommend looking into an eye cream with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid which helps retain moisture in the skin. I really enjoy the BELIF - Moisturizing Eye Bomb. It's basically like a glass of water for your eyes.

Another great hydrating eye cream is the KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. It has avocado oil and shea butter to plump up fine lines and wrinkles. If you apply a generous amount under the eyes, you can use it as an eye mask and let it sit for 10 minutes.
