Will niacidimide fade my freckles?

I love my freckles and recently bought products that include niacidimide. Will that ingredient fade my beloved freckles?

Hi, @geauxanne !  Based on a quick Google search of not necessarily reliable sites (i.e., blogs, not Mayo Clinic or peer-reviewed journal articles), it does appear Niacinamide can fade freckles.  It blocks the melanin that causes the development of dark spots and freckles.  To be on the safe side, I recommend avoiding Niacinamide and speaking with your doctor or dermatologist.
