What's the best product to use for stretch marks?

I need to know the best product for fading or completely getting rid of stretch marks that are reddish purple in colour. They're on my thighs and hips, I am very fair skinned so it is super noticeable. Haaaalp.

Re: What's the best product to use for stretch marks?

I used to have a lot of stretch marks and used the Palmers Stretch Mark Cream and it helped somewhat. In time they should fade and get white.

Re: What's the best product to use for stretch marks?

I used Bio-Oil everyday for a couple months and NOTHING no change. I just want to at least get them to silvery white.

Re: What's the best product to use for stretch marks?

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with it.

They will turn white eventually. Once they turn, they will be harder to get rid of. I know how frustrating stretch marks are to deal with. Them being purple is actually a good thing if you want to try to get them to disappear and not leave the silver scarring. Mederma has made some of my marks disappear without the silver scarring. The only reason any of them turned was because I didn't have the money to buy Mederma for a time. If they are not very deep, it will not take that long for them to scar (turn silver). Mederma will also help improve the color much faster.  If you have a 20% off coupon with Ulta, you can get Mederma there for $31.99 I think. Or you could try WalMart online.

Bio-Oil would probably be good for moisturizing skin during a rapid growth period to help prevent stretch marks.

309300 coupon code for 20% off entire purchase at Ulta. If purchasing in store a coupon can be printed from their main page.

Re: What's the best product to use for stretch marks?

My stretch marks have been bad...like really bad. I have used Mederma for stretch marks, and it really works! I always put it on right after a shower to lock in moisture and apply very generously. It has taken me several bottles over the last few years and a lot of patience, but some of my lesser marks have disappeared. The very deep ones have filled in a great deal. (I think there is collagen in the cream) It only works when they are still purple, so there is kind of a time window. Mine were so deep that a lot of them have stayed purple for nearly four years, but I don't think that's the norm though.

Re: What's the best product to use for stretch marks?

I know some people like Bio-Oil or Palmers Cocoa Butter. I have tried both and they were okay for me.

I personally have been using Biotherm Biovergetures for years. It has helped fade my old stretch marks from youth when I grew taller and helped fade with new ones from weight gain. I still have them they are just not as noticeable which I am okay with. I am also fair skinned so I am not sure if that helps.
