So I am planning for a new school year and want to know what’s better. Powder or liquid foundation? Same with concealer. Thanks for the advice!

I am a teen so my skin can get pretty oily. I’m extremely light colored.

Excess oil can be caused by skincare and fixed by tweaking skincare. Some ingredients, in general, like silicone can trap oil.

However, powder can help soak up oil, but liquid can be used on oilier skin as well - setting powder or spray like Urban Decay all nighter, blotting sheets, pressed powder for touching up, depending on oiliness helps keep it at bay. If too much powder is used, can look heavy on the skin. 

Get samples first or get trail kits. Since you're coloring is very light, a tinted moisturizer may be better, since they are move forgiving with blending into your coloring. 

Concealer: what are you looking to cover? Some come with a shine to brighten under the eye, which you wouldn't want for bumps. Physicians formula conceal rx is liquid to powder, just need a tiny bit and the light is light.
