To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

Lately I have been feeling like my skin doesn't look as great as it used to. I'm switching up my skin care routine, and I was considering purchasing a Clarisonic Mia or Mia2. I have read all about what they do, and I have watched plenty reviews about them (mostly good, a couple bad). I'm just afraid of dishing out that much money and not liking it! So I thought I would bring it  to the beauty experts and see what everyone else thinks of theirs.

Which one do you prefer the mia, mia2, or the plus? How long have you been using yours? What are your favorite products to use with it? And the big question, In your opinion do you think it's worth the money?

I will be saving up for this (so I don't feel as bad spending a bunch of money on one beauty product. Ha.)! I would love to hear what everyone has to say, and a big thank you in advance! ( :

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

I would go for the regular Mia since it is cheaper and the extra speed on the Mia 2 makes no difference for me.

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

I noticed a difference in texture right away. I have acne, so I was afraid that it would spread my acne, but it did the opposite. I say texture specifically because the cleanser I use has to be used on dry skin, so I'm not putting it on the brush and brushing away. I have the Mia 2 and the acne brush head, and I've been using it since early last year. I paid for mine on Amazon, so the price wasn't as bad as in stores. The only con I will say is that the cleanser the Mia 2 came with was ineffective for me. Every person's skin is different, but I felt like my own cleanser I used prior to purchasing the Mia 2 was good enough. I hope this helps and good luck!

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

I got mine about 2 weeks ago and I love it so far. I can't really say if it's made a difference in my acne because of course right when I got it, I started entering the dreaded PMS acne flare up. My menstrual cycle is really weird and I PMS for about 2 weeks so it definitely hasn't made my acne worse, but I'm not sure if it's made it better just because I'm super hormonal right now and I always get a ton of acne at this time. I can definitely FEEL the difference in my skin. It's so soft and smooth and I feel like my skincare products are more effective with it. I use it once a day at night with the sensitive brush head.

A word of warning: don't do what I did and buy it from Amazon. I know it's tempting to buy it there because it's listed as about $30 cheaper, but the one I got from Amazon turned out to be a FAKE. I tried registering it on Clarisonic and the code printed on the bottom of the device wouldn't work and I couldn't figure out why until I googled it and discovered loads of people getting fakes off Amazon. The one I got was from a 3rd party but I thought it was legit because it said "fulfilled by Amazon" on the page. Thankfully Amazon let me return the fake one and I bought it from Sephora. Trust me, it's not worth the small amount of money you'll save just to get stuck with a cheap knockoff.

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

Thank you for the warning! I usually Amazon everything to see if it's cheaper, but I will definitely be buying from Sephora now.

Oh plus there are authorized dealers listed on clarisonics website that you can check out

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

Thanks! I might just buy from the Clarisonic site or Ulta! I have decided on the Mia2, but I want it in Lavender or passion fruit which Sephora doesn't have. : (

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

Ive had my clarisonic mia2 for more than a year now. It actually took months before i could see an improvement on my skin's texture.i experienced the purging process for months since ive been using it together with retin-a. i'd say it was worth the splurge but just dont expect instant results.it will take time for ur skin to improve.

definitely go for the mia2. On days when i dont wear too much makeup i use the slow speed, but on days when i do a full coverage makeup i go for speed 2... The clarisonic plus in my opinion is too bulky for travel and i would also suggest on checking the clarisonic aria !

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

I've had the plus for years & love it. The body brush attachment is so neat! My only problem with it is battery life & the charger is clunky, so I bought a mia for travel. It's alright, but I only use it when traveling, I prefer the plus any day.

Re: To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!

I would just like to thank everyone again for all of the feedback! Everyone was so helpful, and this was kind of my final push to get one! I think it will be totally worth it. ( :

Thanks for the info, ladies!  I keep debating about the Clarisonic, so it's great to see this info all in one place.
