Hi, I know this is very late, but did you ever figure out the issue? Iโ€™m experiencing the same issue now. Iโ€™ve never had a problem with acne. I stopped using my face wash and it hasnโ€™t gone down. Mine are flat & look bumpy, but theyโ€™re not raised or bumpy at all.

Hi, I have the same skin issue. Did anything help you to find this kind of rash?

RE: Tiny rash like bumps on cheeks??

It looks like irritation to me, not acne. I know you didnโ€™t changeanything in your skincare routine but sometimes our skin justdecides itdoesnโ€™t like certain products anymore even if it has tolerated them well for years! We can also develop allergies to anything at any point in our lives. A couple questions, could you be over exfoliating andirritating your skin either with a chemical exfoliant used to often or a device that is too harsh? Also, when was the last time you washed your makeup brushes? If it has been a while go get a good brush shampoo and deep clean all your brushes. If not either of those I recommend trying an โ€œeliminationโ€ routine. Strip your skin care routine down to the basics, face wash and moisturizer for a week and see what happens. If you skin is still irritated you maybe have to rethink those products as your could possibly be reacting to something in them. If your skin settles after the week, slowly add other items in one by one to see if you can identify the culprit. Do you mind if I ask what your skin care routine currently looks like? @bvhackett

Itโ€™s pretty basic I just wash my face with water and a face cloth in the morning and before bed and apply moisturizer after and use a face wash that has a gentle exfoliant 1-2 times a week in the shower. I usually only wear face makeup on the weekends and always wash it off before bed

Re: RE: Tiny rash like bumps on cheeks??

@bvhackett  What do you use to remove makeup? Just water & a washcloth? And whatโ€™s your skin type?

If you only use water to wash your face most days and nights, and you use a face cleanser (which one?) only twice a week, then your rash could be a symptom of bacteria buildup caused by not truly washing your face enough. Water alone isnโ€™t enough on a daily basis.

I recommend using a non-exfoliating cleanser at least once a day, every dayโ€”especially on makeup days. You can probably keep your exfoliating cleanser and use it once or twice a week, but donโ€™t use that one daily. Which regular cleanser you use will depend on your skin type.

A rash like that could also be contact dermatitis, caused by contact with a skin irritant. But I suspect your face is trying to tell you it needs a daily cleanser. You could always consult a dermatologist or primary care physician (f you can) for a better diagnosis and treatment plan.

RE: Tiny rash like bumps on cheeks??

Is the face cloth a disposable one that has cleanser already on it or is it just a regular cloth you would use to wash yourself in the shower(not sure where you are from but where I am we call those wash cloths)? If the cloths have cleanser on them, what kind of cleanser is it? It may be harsher than you realize. Is there texture to the cloth? If there is texture that could be causing irritation. Check the expiration dates on your moisturizer, face wash and cleansing cloths (if they are the disposable kind). If you are only using a washcloth and water to wash you face I would recommend adding a gentle cleanser as your skin could be irritated from oil build up. Even if you only wear makeup on the weekends I would still give your brushes a good deep cleaning. Bacteria grows really quickly on makeup brushes regardless of how often they are used, especially foundation and concealer brushes! It also canโ€™t hurt to wash your sheets (mainly your pillowcase) in case there is something on them you are reacting to. If none of those are the culprit you may just have to stop using your usual products one at a time to see if that helps the irritation subside. I would start by eliminating the face cloths (again if they are the disposable kind) then try the moisturizer and last try eliminating that face wash you only use 1-2 times a weeks. Good luck!
