Ok....We all rely on reviews before we take the plunge on purchases online AND off line, especially with prestige brand products. I, for one, always read reviews. I don't skip over a new product just because of 1, or 2 or few, negative reviews. If I want the product bad enough, I WILL purchase it. One size does not fit all....when I started looking at Tatcha The Silk Canvas Primer, I looked mainly on IG. Then, came to Sephora online. The reviews were all positive. I had ONE concern but, my concern wasn't down playing The Silk Canvas Primer preformance. I am 57. With age, pores just tend to enlarge, making primers, work even harder. Its March 2018. Since Dec. 2017, I've spent a little over $100.00 on pore reducing, line blurring inperfections, products. Cleansers, over $40.00, serums, the same, primers, over $70.00! I was just about to throw the towel in, before I met Tatcha! The Silk Canvas Primer! This primer feels like silk, the second you touch it! I'll first tell you, this primer applies without pilling over moisturizer and I use heavy creams due to dry skin. This primer looks great, over my layers of serum and moisturizer. I was so happy when I scooped out the recommended amount on the included round spatula, and saw how fluid the primer is...I thought it would be waxy and stiff. Not the case! Total opposite! After pushing the primer to the back of my hand, off the spatula, I began applying, the smallest amount, to one side of my face, starting on my nose, moving towards my cheek. I closely paid attention to whether of not, my pores disappeared.. THEY DID! I watched my skin turn luminous and soft looking. You could say, I got that Geisha Girl Vib going on! Tiny fine lines also became alot less noticable too. Moving on . ....now, I usually wear skin tint but, I wanted to try a full coverage foundation. My foundation applied evenly. Not patchy. Went on smoothy with a beauty blender with no streaks. Nothing settled into my fines. My under eye concealer, my blush and bronzer, contour cream, all applied effortlessly and I loved what I was seeing. A 10 year younger me, looking back from the mirror!
8 hours later, my complexion still looked flawless. Still, nothing settling into fine lines. My pores were still blurred. My skin looked the best, it has in a while. If youre on the fence about whether this primer is something you will benfit from, I'm telling you. You will! If my 57 year young skin, large pores and all, can look as good as it did the other day, I can only imagine, what younger skin will look like, using Tatcha The Silk Canvas primer. This primer will make ANY skin type with ANY imperfection, or none, look super! The compact is gorgeous too! One more thing, if you think, by looking at photos of the primer and think its not a generous amount, per price point, Its a fair and generous amount! A little goes a long way! My recommendation is this. Try it. If you don't like it, return it.... but, I 100% confident, you'll love using this Silk Canvas Primer. There is NOTHING on the market like it. Its my very first Tatcha order. After using it one time, I came back to Sephora, to purchase more Tatcha skin care!
