Stone facial rollers?

Hi everyone, I was thinking about using a jade or rose quartz face roller however I donโ€™t know which I should use. Why would one be better than the other, or are they basically the same?

Re: Stone facial rollers?

All who are using this... I have puffy under eye (only on one, the other seems normal), same side where I get sinus issues, youthink this might help with it and which one?

Re: Stone facial rollers?

I hope you love it!  I got mine about a month ago and now I wake up looking forward to using it.  I've got sinus / allergy / migraine issues that make it a lot more than a beauty treatment for me, but it does wonders for your skin.  Just the massage will get your blood flowing to your face.. definitely watch a short video on how to use it.  It's not that complicated but you do want to maximize its benefits.

I went for rose quartz -- I think everyone has already chimed in their thoughts on stones crystals etc.  I'll just say I'm happy with it.

Re: Stone facial rollers?

@Anonymous I can't offer TOO much advice on rose quartz vs jade, but I can say on the general topic of rollers, that I have a rose quartz facial roller and I really love using it in the morning. It helps me wake up and the cooling sensation on my face is lovely. I do a lymphatic drainage type of rolling, and while I'm probably not particularly good at it, I do find that when I finish I get a very relaxing emptying of stress type feeling. Overall I really enjoy using it, it's a great part of my morning routine ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: Stone facial rollers?

@Anonymous A Jade roller and a Rose Quartz are different in what they are meant to do.

Here is part of an article that was on Cult Beauty:

rose quartz has been used for centuries to repair, de-stress and decongest complexions, thanks to its remarkable healing properties. A symbol of love (it is often referred to as โ€˜ice of the godsโ€™) the exquisite, powder pink stone is a favourite with crystal healers, who swear by its ability to promote healthy heart function, inspire optimism and diminish depth of lines.

Or, if you favour 'Camp Jade', this {Gua Sha} is fashioned from 100% pure jade crystal - valued more highly than gold in ancient China - and is linked to kidney function (the elimination of toxins is essential for glowing skin) to maintain skin's health and clarity. Great for those susceptible to breakouts and congestion (as well as all those with, shall we say, a 'hedonistic disposition'), this soothing and de-puffing stone helps keep things clear (and you feeling phenomenally smug).

Thank you, that was very helpful!

Re: Stone facial rollers?

@Anonymous I don't know anything about crystals but I bought a Jade roller on Ebay for a dollar (not sure if it's real jade but it's definitely a cold stone) and it works just fine for me. It stays pretty cool as I massage it on my face and helps serums and moisturizers absorb faster.

RE: Stone facial rollers?

Yes and no. Each stone has its own healing/beneficial properties. Itโ€™s just a preference at this point. I recently had my own quest to find the perfect facial stone (non roller) for me. I posted review on my Instagram. Both stones are very similar, and will give the same results. Incorporating a facial stone or roller to your skincare regime on a regular basis will improve your skin over time and is relaxing (especially if you can get someone to do it for you). They are also known as gua sha or chi roller). Some brands use different variants and size of the stone. This difference could be a factor in which one you choose. It may be trial & error. Even though Sephora has a variety to choose from online, they not carry many if any in store to see and feel in person. But they have a great return policy.
