Splotchy Skin - Help!

Hi guys! I’m new to Sephora. I do not wear makeup of any kind, and I just recently started using a new skincare product. I normally just use basic soap to wash my face but it seemed like it was drying my face out so I switched to using Kiehl’s Facial Cleansing set (purchased from Sephora). I use the cleansing face wash, deep pore cleansing masque, and moisturizer. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now (2-3 times per week as the instructions stated was okay) with no issues, but tonight I noticed my skin burned slightly and my skin seems splotchy. Any recommendations? Should I stop using it? Or should I try a product to help with splotchy skin? I’m not so much worried about the look as I am *why* my skin is splotchy.

@insider907 You've likely overstripped your skin as that mask really should only be used about once a week for most people. I'd discontinue use of that for a bit so you can concentrate on healing your moisture barrier- just cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen for now.
