Skincare for almost-mid-30s

Hi all! I recently began using a Kate Somerville regimen after getting a free oxygen facial at a Sephora local to me. Initially I loved the products, despite the high price tag. I bought the Kate's Clinic Skin Changers set (https://www.sephora.com/product/kate-s-clinic-skin-changers-P419016?skuId=1950740&icid2=products%20g...), but I'm finding that it's just not working for my skin (oily in the T-zone and dry on my cheeks). I feel drier, I'm starting to have some breakouts, and honestly the whole process is just UGH. I like simple routines (K-beauty is also high on my list), it's really the only way I'll stick to it.

So here's my skincare concerns:

- Combo skin

- Anti-aging (I don't have any fine lines or wrinkles yet and I'd like to keep it that way)

- Blackheads on my chin and nose

- Large pores, especially on my cheeks

- The occasional cystic acne that pops up

Looking forward to your recommendations!

RE: Skincare for almost-mid-30s

I’m in my mid 30s and I started out with very dry skin all year round. These days mine are more on the combination side. I also have very sensitive skin. However, these products are amazing and have kept my skin felt soft, poreless, plump, and just glowing. Eve Lom balm cleanser, Blithe vital treatment and lifting essence, It cosmetics bye bye under eyes corrector, It cosmetics confidence in a cream moisturizer, and Coola Sun care Daydream.

I like la mer’s treatment lotion and cream de la mer moisturizer. They are expensive but definitely make a difference. Also I heard many good things about shiseido bio performance moisturizer. I haven’t try it yet but I ordered it couple days ago and I am excited to see if ita ctuallay helps keeping skin plumped and fresh.

RE: Skincare for almost-mid-30s

Hi! I used to have less skin care products in my routine but now I have more and noticed a difference and don’t get breakouts or if I do, so much less than before. Routine: double cleansing, Shiseido Perfecting oil then Laneige multi cleanser with my clarisonic, Laneige Toner, Sk-II treatment essence, collagen serum (not from Sephora), SK-II RNA power eye cream, Laneige emulsion, Laneige bright renew cream. For day time I also use Shiseido urban environment Oil-free UV protector. Night time I incorporate peel off mask or Boscia charcoal pore pudding, masks (of course when I get a chance or if I’m not too tired at night 🙂 I’ve been using Laneige for years and likes it but now I’ve tried different products here and there. I have bought products to replace my almost finished skin care from Laneige. I also previously tried Caudalie Vinoperfect radiance serum and it was good as well. There’s so many skin care products now and that’s my thing now. Rather than putting on too much make up I prefer making my skin feeling and looking healthy then I just use primer, CC cushion, blush and lipstick.

Re: Skincare for almost-mid-30s

Same here!  My skincare is pretty elaborate for me considering how I am lazy. And, my skincare routine is not perfect. But, if I have to pick minimal essentials, they would be:

1. Oil cleanser: Shu Uemura Porefinist

2. Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel or Pixi Glow Tonic

3. Serum: Drunk Elephant Vitamin C Serum (Day) and Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil (night)

4. Eye Cream: SK-II R.N.A Power Eye Cream (too expensive!)

5. Moisturizer: L'Occitane Shea Comforting Cream

6. Sunscreen: Shiseido

7. Exfoliation: Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial

I would love to hear about everyone else's routine as well!

Re: Skincare for almost-mid-30s

I have oily skin

1.Cleanser - Night makeup removal -Pond's Moisture Clean Towelettes and Purity by Philosophy. In the morning I use a natural bar soap by Sarenzo Beauty (not on Sephora)

2. Mask/exfoliation- Glam Glow SuperMud and Kate Somervile ExfoliKate are my 2 favorites.

3.Moisturize- Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift Advanced Wrinkle. During winter if feeling dry I use Kate's Goat Milk moisturizer as well or some other moisturizer. Sometimes I also use a facial oil to seal it all in.

4.Treatment- On alternate nights I use Clinique Turnaround Cream instead of above. It works wonders for giving you a glow.
