Skincare for allergic skin

Hi! Does anyone have any recommendations for sensitive allergy prone skin? Anything I’ve used have made me have reactions. I tried la Roche posay for a while, but I find their products don’t do anything for my texture or redness… any help!?

Re: Skincare for allergic skin

Sensitivity and redness? @artemistrie I think it would be a really good idea to check in with your doctor or find a dermatologist. You may have an underlying  skin condition, or they could help steer you in the direction of skincare that won't upset your skin.

When trying anything new is a good idea to patch test it some where other than your face ( like inner elbow and wait 48 hours to see if you have reaction to it) and only introduce 1 item at a time,  so if you do react you can pinpoint the item that did you in.

I use Skinfix  for my red and sensitive skin,  I know Tower28 is very popular for redness and sensitivity to, you may want to give them a look. 🩵💙

But I really do reccomend checking in with your doctor to get to the bottom of what's causing your redness.

Hi @artemistrie, I definitely agree with @CynthieLu‘s suggestion of seeing a doctor. Let them know you tried different types of skincare without any positive results and even some reactions. It might be worth asking for an allergy test to see if you can identify the cause of your allergic reactions so you can recognize and avoid those allergens in the future.

As for skincare that’s safe for sensitive skin, I’ve tried Skinfix’s eczema+ line and Tower 28’s SOS line. Both have worked well for my skin. I especially like Tower 28 Beauty Mini SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray 1 oz/ 30 mL for its immediate effects of dealing with redness and irritation. Another option from the K-Beauty world is Etude House’s Soon Jung line.
