Rosacea-prone skin: Sharing my Skincare Routine

Hi beauties! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect skincare routine for my rosacea-prone skin ever since I was diagnosed last year, and I think I have finally nailed it. I want to share it with you so that if you also have rosacea, or even just sensitive/dry skin, you could maybe find some products that work for you too!

All of the products listed are the ones I use personally, and I highly recommend ALL of them.

MORNING ROUTINE

  1. Step 1 - Cleanse: I use the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Smooth and milky formula which foams up with water. Most gentle cleanser, especially when my skin is irritated. Doubles as a makeup remover.
  2. Step 2 - Serums: The Éciat Glow Yeah! Vitamin C+E Serum is a MUST to reduce that redness, bonus points if it was kept refrigerated. After the vitamins serum, I add the The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum, for texture smoothing and to boost hydration.
  3. Step 3 - Eye Cream: I’m lucky enough not to get too many rosacea flare-ups on and around my eyelids, so my main concern is my dark circles, so I use The INKEY List Caffeine De-puffing + Dark Circle Eye Cream 0.5 oz/ 15 mL. I like to dab it on my eye bags to stimulate blood flow.
  4. Step 4 - Moisturize: I’m sorry, but nothing beats a simple classic: Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion with Avocado Oil, Vitamin E and Pro Vitamin B5. Yes, it’s also a body lotion, and yes, it’s better than any other face moisturizer I’ve tried. Non-scented, basic formula, a chickpea-sized amount covers my whole face. I just love it!
  5. Step 5 - SPF: If I’m wearing makeup, I prefer the Fenty Skin Mini Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 1 oz / 30 mlThe light pink shade leaves 0 cast, and the gorgeous perfume is very gentle and non-irritating. On very sunny days, I prefer to wear my Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 for Sensitive Skin. Australian brand, super strong formula against UVA and UVB rays, but it does leave a slight white cast, if you don’t mind it. Bonus: the cap changes colour in presence of harmful UV rays!

EVENING ROUTINE
For my evening routine, I follow all of the same steps, except:

This is the routine that works for my skin; if you wish to try any of those products, do your due diligence, as always, and patch-test the formulas! But, I stand by my choices and I’m sure these could benefit you as well💕

Let me know if you have any questions or recommendations!

Seeing the results in your complexion let you know you've found the right ones. 🙌 @Linds2610

Does your routine change in the harsher and colder months?

Re: Rosacea-prone skin: Sharing my Skincare Routine

Thanks for sharing, @Linds2610 !  Although I don't have rosacia, some of the products you use have been on my "to try" list for a while.  Reading what you think is very helpful. 🙂

Re: Rosacea-prone skin: Sharing my Skincare Routine

Heyy I’m so happy you found this helpful! If you do get any of those and your experience confirms mine, I’d love to hear from you!🫶🏼

Re: Rosacea-prone skin: Sharing my Skincare Routine

@Linds2610 Thanks for sharing all of this!! While my skin leans oily and I don't have diagnosed rosacea, I do also have sensitive skin and struggle with visible redness most days. I have just recently been starting to intentionally search for skincare products that will help calm and even out my redness. It is super helpful to see that you've had results with these products!
