So ive had a bad experience with drunk elephant retinol cream i had used it everyday and started to peel and burn like crazy that left some scars and hyperpigmentation im a deeper skin tone. I want to get rid of my hyperpigmentation and scars and am willing to give retinol another chance i know i shouldn't have used it everyday ;what would yall recommend? Ive looked into DE retinol, the inkey retinol, the ordinary retinol etc

@ap2816, the Kate Somerville +Retinol Vita C Power Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL could help, as the vitamin C also helps reduce hyperpigmentation. However, start off using it once a week, or once every two weeks. Or the cream, Kate Somerville +Retinol Vitamin C Moisturizer 1.7 oz/ 50 mL, which would be more nourishing. I also really like the Inky list retinol, and it might be good to start there and work up to the KS one. Regardless, slow to start, make sure youre using a moisturizer or night cream after and wear SPF.
