Redness on Chin & Cheeks

Hi everyone,

I currently struggle with lots of redness on the lower half of my face. What types of products should I be focusing on to combat and lessen the intensity of this redness? If I could get rid of it completely, that would be ideal - but I figure I'd have to go to an actual office/get professional treatment for that? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I have oily, sensitive skin. I can take moderately harsh products but if I can avoid that, I'd like to.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

RE: Redness on Chin & Cheeks

I have redness under tones & also have red on top on my cheeks and chin. I found for my oily acne prone skin I love how Dr. Jart + Tiger Grass color correcting Treatment worked in with my foundation conceals the redness well and keeps the acne away. I bought the small jar of it & have been using it for 2 months + every day. Foundation I use with Dr. Jart is IT Bye Bye REDNESS.. works for me. 💋

Re: Redness on Chin & Cheeks

To conceal redness I always opt for a green color corrector.  My favorite is the CoverFx Correct Click Color Corrector in Green.  It's genius.

About getting rid of it.  There may be an underlying issue.... have you seen a dermatologist?

Re: Redness on Chin & Cheeks

Good question. I have some if the same issues.

also! look for the ingredient Helichrysum or sometimes you'll see it lised as Everlasting. this is SO good for redness. its really helped my cheeks. i thought lasers and IPL was the only solution but i am convinced you can strengthen your skin so the redness doesn't show as much and i've also heard for thin redness prone skin IPL can weaken and actually make problem worse of the long term.

Bye bye redness by IT Cosmetics is magic in a jar. I recommend it to everyone who has redness. Definitely give it a try!

I use the laura mercier pressed setting powder in smooth focus shine control to set my foundation. It combats oiliness and has a very slight tint to it that neutralizes redness on the skin. I have very oily and sensitive skin and this product has not aggravated my skin at all.

Re: Redness on Chin & Cheeks

anything with things like arnica, ivy, horsechestnut, calendula are very soothing to skin and over time strengthen skin so the redness particularly from broken capilaries is less visable. from sephora the biossance brand has a great cream that helps tone down redness.
