New to routines!

Hey y’all! I’m turning 40 soon and am suddenly obsessed with skincare. I have questions. Should I stick to the same routines and products every day, or mix it up? Right now, on work mornings I do The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid serum and caffeine eye cream, followed by Peter Thomas Roth Banana Bright eye cream and mattifying moisturizer... then primer/makeup. At night, I wash with a Shiseido cleanser, do the hyaluronic acid again, The Inkey List toner, then Shiseido Benefiance eye cream and night moisturizer. Every other night I do The Inkey List retinol eye cream and all-over retinol cream. Is this too much? Not enough? Am I missing a step I need to be taking as a 40 year old? I can absolutely tell a difference in my skin from the last couple of months, so I must be doing something right!
