New Sunday Riley purchase possibly expired?

Hello, first time poster here. I recently purchased the Sunday Riley B3 Nice Niacinamide Serum. I wasn’t sure how to incorporate the new serum into my skincare routine and came to the app to look up the How To Use section on it. I started reading reviews and realized that many others discovered that their serum was a brownish color and that it might be expired. I just bought mine on 8/31/24 and noticed my skin breaking out last night, which isn’t really a normal occurrence. Thought maybe the new serum is causing the breakout as my B3 Nice is also brown.  Has anyone else’s skin broken out from using an expired product?

Yes! I just got this yesterday and it’s a disgusting brown color. Called and got a full refund. It’s so sketchy they don’t put the batch numbers on the bottles.
