National SPF Day ☀️

Hello BIC, 

As you might all know National SPF Day ☀️ this year is rapidly approaching. May 27, 2023. I like to think SPF Day is every day because it is so important for our skin! I would love everyone to share their tips and tricks for sun safety and of course favourite sunscreens.

My favourite combo right now is using Summer Fridays ShadeDrops Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen 1.7 oz / 50 mL as my base and applying Tower 28 Beauty SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation 20 Mulholland  over it. Summer Fridays ShadeDrops Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen 1.7 oz / 50 mL I am still able to apply sunscreen over my makeup and it still gives a great finish and does not mess up my makeup! I also try to always wear a hat if I am going to be outside for an extended time and I never forget to protect my eyes with sunglasses 🕶️.

Right now I have been wanting to try these SPF:

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sunscreen SPF 50 

Evereden SPF 50 Premium Mineral Sunscreen 2 oz / 60 mL

The sun protection I took with me on my recent trip.

Hair/Scalp - COOLA Scalp & Hair Sunscreen & Color Protection Mist with SPF 30 

Face - Summer Fridays ShadeDrops Mineral Milk Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL or OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Mineral Face Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL - which I choose depends on what else I plan to wear on my face, makeup wise, or how my skin is doing. @ather 

Primer (to conceal redness) - Dr. Jart+ Mini Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 15 mL/ .50 fl oz - this is in addition to (and not in lieu of) one of the face sunscreens

Body - SEPHORA COLLECTION Daily Mineral Sunscreen Cream SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL

@itsfi  Look at you with all the SPF!!! Wow! Those are great picks!!! I need to invest in the scalp SPF! I think that’s the one thing I haven’t tried yet. Does it make your hair greasy?

@ather, it doesn’t make my hair / scalp oily or greasy. I will note that it has an herbaceous scent that may not be for everyone. It’s the cica in it, I think. If you’re familiar with some herbal scents from KBeauty sheet masks, it’s similar to that - not the medicinal hanbang scent but the leafy, herbaceous scent.

I will have to give this a try. I also want to try Kosas DreamBeam Silicone-Free Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40 with Ceramides and Peptides not sure which one though. I have very sensitive skin towards sunscreens because it will cause my skin to break out. Any tips for sensitive or acne prone skin is welcome here!

yes it is acne safe! they made it lightweight so it doesn’t clog your pores. def acne safe
