Moisturizers

Is it ok to use a water based moisturizer with a silicone based primer and silicone based foundation?

Re: Moisturizers

In my experience, that should be fine.  It's when putting water based foundation over silicone products that I have run into pulling.  Most primers are silicone based.

Re: Moisturizers

With so many silicone ingredients in your makeup, please remember to do a double cleanse to make sure none of them get left behind in your pores.

As for the moisturizer, it’s up to you. Your skin may, or may not, feel suffocated if you’re using a lot of silicone rich products and a rich moisturizer. A gel moisturizer could do the trick, or it might not be plumping enough. With so much silicone, I’m guessing you’re trying to plump the skin? It’s more trial and error rather than an exact science.

Re: Moisturizers

I think that most moisturizers are water-based; do you mean using a gel hydrator?

Re: Moisturizers

I got to thinking about that too, and thought maybe all moisturizers were water based. I don’t mean a gel hydrate, just any moisturizer.
