Moisturize after Dr.Jart Treatment?

Does anyone know if youโ€™re supposed to use your moisturizer after a Dr.Jart face mask? Or is the ampoule a stand alone? Thanks!

RE: Moisturize after Dr.Jart Treatment?

If Iโ€™m using the DJ overnight mask (either the water fuse or Cicapair) I will not add moisturizer. If Iโ€™m using one of his sheet, rubber, or shakeshot masks, Iโ€™ll hydrate after. If the mask targets hydration already, Iโ€™ll just add a little Marula Oil from DE to my skin to balance hydration.

Yes, moisturizing is pretty much always a good idea. It will help to seal in the hydration you get from the mask.

And in regards to the post below, you don't need a wait time after face masks. The only ingredients that possibly work better with wait times are active (exfoliating) ingredients that would be used much earlier in a routine and aren't generally found in masks. Also, you absolutely can use oil-based products earlier in your routine. There are only a few certain oils that act as occlusives and prevent penetration of other products.

I only do if my skin is being extra dry and needs it. If so, I let any prior treatment sink in for at least 30 minutes so the ingredients don't co-mingle as much. Some ingredients deactivate others, so waiting allows them to do their job uninterrupted. Sidenote (non-dr. jart related) - you can't layer anything over oil based products. They form a barrier and won't let anything absorb.
