Masks on the Move!

A few of us on the Mask of the Week Challenge are interested in sharing our love of masking by starting a traveling sheet mask envelope. If you are interested, please respond or PM me before Sunday, April 14th. (Thank you @itsfi for all of your help and suggestions!)

Spoiler
  1. Envelope Contents: There will be 10 face sheet masks in the packet at all times. you can remove as many or as little as you would like; but there should always be 10 masks moving forward to the next participant. You may add in extras like eye, feet or hand masks, but they will not count toward the 10 masks (kind of like little bonusesπŸ˜‰). Padded flat rate Priority envelopes are great for this, and can be ordered for free on the USPS site. Any packaging is fine, but please take care to ensure the masks are adequately protected.
  2. Will this be open to US and Canada? I would love to see this packet be open to both countries. I would ship to CA if others are not interested, but would need a Canadian who is willing to ship back to the US.
  3. Any eligibility requirements? Anyone who has posted regularly to the previous or current thread is eligible. In addition, if you have been involved in other thread challenges on a regular basis/BIC exchanges such as Galentine's or Halloween/traveling boxes, you are also eligible. We would love new participants, please PM me if you are interested!
  4. Approval: To be fair, a majority of participants would need to approve trades prior to shipping.
  5. Mask Guidelines: The idea is to share your Favorite/Great Finds/Discoveries Masks. Please be considerate and keep in mind: what if a participant is vegan or vegetarian and s/he receives a horse oil or pig/cow placenta mask because it's a mask the person before him/her cannot stand? Let's not send gross masks/masks we just want to get rid of - this is to share our love of masks!
  6. What happens if the box gets lost? USPS provides a $50 insured value for free. If a box is lost in transit, you are responsible for shipping an additional box to the next participant. Declaring a $50 value ensures that you would be reimbursed by USPS in the event your package is lost; however this is a lengthy process and thus it would be your responsibility to keep the flow of the boxes moving by curating a new box and shipping it out as quickly as possible.
  7. How does the order work? I would prefer to use a random generator; if there are Canadian participants I would need to take that into consideration depending on how many people would be willing to ship out of country.

Re: Masks on the Move!

If I may, in past TSBs people were asked to take photos of all the products that arrived for accountability purposes.   That way if something went wrong along the way it was easier to track where things went awry.  It was more to cover peoples butts if products were tested along the way,  I doubt we’ll have problems with this group or with a mask box, but it may be something to do on the dl and only share if there’s a problem.  @eshoe

Re: Masks on the Move!

I agree @heartsmyface, I think it’s a

good idea to post pics as well! I don’t anticipate any issues either; I think limiting it to sheet masks makes it easier. Plus that’s all I’m really interested in πŸ˜„

Re: Masks on the Move!

@Kim888 I'm kinda new to this too, I have only participated in one other TSB but it was a large box! @CC3616 organized it and did a fabulous job. Here is the link: https://community.sephora.com/t5/Skincare-Aware/WINTER-SKIN-BODY-HAIRCARE-DS-TSB-BOX/m-p/4326064#M72952

My thoughts were that each person could take out as many or as little as they wanted, and replace that same amount of masks. That way there are always 10 masks in the box. We posted our trades on the other one, but it was kind of different since it was a variety of products/sizes. Maybe we don't even need to post our trades; although I think some people might be interested. I think that could totally be up to the group!

Once you have the masks you want out of the package, and have posted a pic if everyone thinks that is a good idea, contact the next person via PM for address (I do not have everyone's yet) and provide them a tracking # once you have it.

Re: Masks on the Move!

@eshoe I peeked in on that traveling group while it was happening just because I was curious how it worked. Im so happy you thought of doing a mask version! I definitely like the idea of taking the "in and out" photos! So excited for this! πŸ˜πŸ™Œ

Re: Masks on the Move!

@Shosh85 that was a HUGE box, almost 30 pounds when I received it😳!

Re: Masks on the Move!

I like the idea of posting pictures... mostly just out of interest on my part! @eshoe

Re: Masks on the Move!

Thanks for the feedback @missjeanie, I’m learning along the wayπŸ˜„πŸ‘πŸΌ

@eshoe do you have a particular turn around time you want...

@eshoe do you have a particular turn around time you want to stay on, as far as how long we all keep the masks in our possession before sending onto the next person

Re: @eshoe do you have a particular turn around time you want...

@lmaster I think one week is a fair amount of time for turn around, though I understand life happens and as long as we are all own the loop, I don't think it will be an issue. What do you think?

Re: @eshoe do you have a particular turn around time you want...

Perfect @eshoe was just curious if you had mentioned it πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Re: Masks on the Move!

You’re welcome @sonnydee😊

Re: Masks on the Move!

@eshoeDo we know if we have any vegans in the group?  It's fairly easy to stay away from Horse oil etc (maybe the more "gross" ingredients, but I wonder about things like Honey or Lactic Acid etc?  I don't want to offend anyone/have someone not get to participate fully.

Re: Masks on the Move!

@missjeanie no one has indicated they would prefer only vegan masks, though there are some preferences like no floral/no bubbling/no AD. I am going to send the preference list as PM's so that everyone has it for reference.

Re: Masks on the Move!

Oh perfect!  @eshoe
