Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐Ÿ’—

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@quspork  Oooh - this looks really nice. Goodal is a brand I need to explore some more.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

They've had some great products over the years, @PrettyPaint. I really want to try their tangerine line at some point.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@quspork Ooh I'm adding this to my wishlist!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

It's definitely a good line to check out, @Samtian

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@quspork  This one sounds pretty great - I'm happy you enjoyed it! Definitely makes me excited to try out the line! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿซ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I hope you enjoy it whenever you give it a whirl, @Shosh85!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@quspork so glad you had a good experience!! I didn't notice the blueberry scent with this version either, but the raspberry one did have a fruity scent

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

That's good to know about the raspberry, @lmaster - I'll have to add it to the list.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Ohhh, the older Goodal sheet masks were really nice @quspork! ๐Ÿ˜ I've tried the quince version from this Goodal line a couple of years ago and liked it a lot, and I have one I'm planning on using tonight. As much as I know that not having a scent makes a sheet mask more appealing to more people, I was really hoping you were going to say it smelled of blueberries! It sounds like it gave you some good results and that's what's important!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

A nice, subtle blueberry scent would have put it over the top, @itsfi but I guess that's a relatively minor complaint for this one haha

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Certainly not a deal breaker @quspork! ๐Ÿซ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Earlier this week . . .

G is for garlic and two unusual mask ingredients - salmon and garlic - though one may not be that unusual
G - salmon + garlic.jpg

Spoiler
Salmon sheet masks aren't too terribly unusual to me and, thanks to the amazing @Shosh85, they're not that scary to me. Thanks, shosh!

I would sum up these two particular Dermal Super Food Facial Mask Sheets as follows - thick leaning cotton sheet mask drenched in a clear, watery, and overwhelmingly fragranced essence that might be best suited for those with very dehydrated or very dry skin who are not otherwise allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients listed, including added fragrance. I've used other sheet masks from Dermal (from this Superfood line as well as a different line from the brand) and the fragrance varies depending on the mask (i.e., the honey one smells pretty good). The fragrance in these two sheet mask is just too much for me, both in terms of its strength and duration - it lingered. The hydration that I get from these masks can be achieved with other less fragranced (or better scented) sheet masks so for me personally, I'm not inclined to repurchase. I've used other sheet masks from Dermal that haven't had such prominent scents and I'd reach for those again, but the ones from this particular line are just too perfumey for me.

Spoiler
Fit is what I'd consider typical of most sheet masks so adjustments was needed to the length along the chin and jawline and to the corners of the eyes, nose and mouth. Adherence was fine; this is a thicker mask than I've worn for some time but it stayed on the entire 20 minutes of my respective masking sessions earlier in the week. The salmon version had a perfumed floral bouquet scent while the garlic one had a slightly deeper, slightly powdery floral perfume scent - for whatever reason, violets came to mind with that one. Neither scent was offensive but I wouldn't personally consider them pleasant. They were way too strong and pervasive for my liking.

Other than the type of added fragrance in these masks, which is the last listed ingredient, the only thing different between the ingredients list for these two masks is the second to last ingredient, which is extracts of whatever the "flavor" of the mask is. The same volume of each extract is present in the sheet masks (i.e., 1000 ppm of salmon extract in the salmon mask and 1000 ppm of garlic extract in the garlic mask). So, in that regard, the masks are consistent and uniform. The selling point of these masks is their price and accessibility.

In terms of results, based on the ingredients list, despite whatever claim is made, hydration is what you'll primarily get from most, if not all of the sheet masks in this line. Since these masks are so heavily drenched in essence, I can see them working nicely as daily sheet masks or filler masks for those with very dehydrated or dry skin. Those with normal or combination skin might find the amount of essence in these masks to be too much for their pores to handle on a daily basis. Those with sensitive skin might want to steer clear of these masks - the fragrance in these masks is a lot to take in.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi Wow - This fits the theme perfectly. The strong floral scent doesn't sound that appealing, but I'm still so amused that there are salmon and garlic masks. I'm probably super gross, but I think I wouldn't mind a fresh salmon sushi-type scent, especially if it had a little gari smell mixed in.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Ohhh @PrettyPaint, sushi!!! ๐Ÿฃ ๐Ÿ˜‹ Fresh salmon sashimi / sushi is one of my favorites. โ™ฅ๏ธ Iโ€™ve been trying to make sushi every once in a while since covid. I havenโ€™t ventured into making a roll or nigiri with raw fish...yet. Maybe Iโ€™ll try later this year.

Back to the masks, the scents on these were potent. It made me think that I would prefer to be in an elevator with someone who was heavy handed with perfume. ๐Ÿ˜† There are definitely some โ€œinterestingโ€ masks out there, PrettyPaint! ๐Ÿ˜ณ I have some of them and Iโ€™m both looking forward to using them and a tad skittish about them, too.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi thank goodness they didn't smell like fish and garlic ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

So true @lmaster! Can you imagine?!! I was just a smidge nervous one of these masks would smell like the โ€œstarโ€ ingredient. Now it makes me wonder if thatโ€™s why the added fragrance in these two are sooooo heavily perfumed?!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi  Oh my gosh, do you remember the April Fools prank The Creme Shop sent out that was an ad for their "new" Anchovies & Garlic sheet mask - and I totally thought it was a real thing? ........ your masking session proves that I'm not crazy for believing it was a real thing! Haha! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Too bad about the fragrance on these, and good to know I should probably stay away! Although, I would like to try a garlic mask sometime- definitely seems like it pairs perfectly with a salmon mask! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Oh my goodness @Shosh85that's why I kept thinking "who used a garlic mask?!" Hahaha! I could not for the life of me figure that out but I was convinced that I had heard of a garlic mask before. Well, that just means you are the inspiration for this entire masking sesh! ๐Ÿ˜ It's all coming back to me now. I thought it was a real mask, too. Or perhaps we just wanted it to be a real mask, because how interesting would that be, right?! ๐Ÿค” I can usually tolerate scents, and like them on many occasions, but the ones in these two ... wooo whee! Just thinking about it is making my eyes twitch. lol. These Dermal masks were good for helping me decide what to cook for meal prep this week. Ha!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi  Well, at least these masks didn't smell like their star ingredients..... now that would've been interesting ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜œ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Shosh85, I did wonder about that before opening the packets. Hahaha! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Good outlook. The potent and lingering perfumey floral scent is now sounding better. ๐Ÿคช

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I am apparently still in last week with the unicorns, but I impulsively added this one on to a curbside pickup order. It's the Soo'Ae Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask. It is Black Charcoal on one side and the hologram is on the other side.

I really like charcoal masks and while I liked the serum in this one, I feel like the gimmicky hologram part kind of took away from a lot of the reasons that I enjoy charcoal masks. While charcoal masks usually fit/adhere well, the hologram side weighed this thing down and it was bulky and heavy enough that it didn't adhere closely to my face. That being said, I ultimately purchased it because of the unicorn marketing! ๐Ÿฆ„

I'm terrible at photographing holographic packaging, but here are the photos:
