Welcome to the 2024 Masking Challenge!
This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!
Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights ๐ฎ
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
Those are such pretty eye masks, @CookieGirl1. I hear ya about the slipping around, though. I find myself using eye masks in the morning while reading, it does help prevent them from traveling too far ๐
@CookieGirl1 Thats a good plan! Reading and eye masks. Think I'll do that tonight thanks!
@Samtian I haven't been using my eye patches much recently and I should because my eyes thank me when I take the time.
Oh I liked those too, its been awhile since I've used them,, you know rotating through the stash @CookieGirl1 ๐
@lmaster I hear ya. I have a stack of them that are just waiting to be used but I go through them slowly.
If only they stayed put, they'd be so much easier to wear @CookieGirl1
I have a package of these I've been saving for a emergency โโ๐โโ but I wish I could do things around the house while I wore them.
@CookieGirl1 Great call on putting the eye masks on while laying down and reading.
So for my Planet theme week I chose Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask 5 oz/ 148 mL I love this mask. My skin glows for the next 2-3 days. And the spicy scent puts me in a far off mood. I chose this because it reminds me of the color of Martian soil. That red/orange color.
Plus I love to find this planet in the night sky.
I wander in thought to what it would be like to live there for awhile ๐ง๐ง
And another planet I like to find in the night sky is Jupiter. Thatโs โmy big boyโ. A swirling mass of gases. But one of its moons is icy with an ocean. Europa is very cold The mask by Cela is made with run off from a glacier. Itโs a thick grey mud mask. Itโs very cooling while on. It helps to brighten and hydrate. My skin likes it
Both I have a lot remaining and would buy again
The last is Keep Cool and Ocean Mask. A sheet mask that fits well with some adjusting around the eyes. It has a lot of milky essence.
And as it says itโs quite cooling to the face. This is good for summer. Itโs a hydration is very good. I would buy again
If I could fly by Mars and Jupiter that would be so fantasticโ๐๐

What a fun review, @Cissy63! That PTR mask gets a lot of love around here, no surprise that it is a hit for you, too ๐
Thank you ๐น. Oh for sure. One try and I was a fan ๐ @eshoe
@Cissy63 Ooh those sound like some winners!
Thank you @Samtian ๐น
Love your review! @Cissy63
Thank you @lmaster ๐น.
This is a far out selection @Cissy63 โ๐ โ
We can't make it out to the stars but we can admire them from a distance โโจโ๏ธ
I know nothing of Jupiter's moons but I love how you perfectly found a mask for it ๐ฉต๐
Thank you very much @CynthieLu ๐น. Carl Sagan said we are made of star stuff. I just love knowing that we humans are connected to the cosmos ๐ฅฐ
@Cissy63, that PTR pumpkin mask is so good! ๐งก I hadnโt thought of Martian soil for it but now that youโve mentioned it, it does look like that. I love the sound of the Cela mask - thatโs so cool (literally and figuratively) that is made from glacier water run off.
@itsfi Thank you ๐น. My imagination ran with this one๐.
Thank you @Mellmars1185 ๐น
