Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@quspork, thank you. Have you tried MBD masks before? Iโve been finding the sheet masks like this one that the brand released with places referenced in the name to work well for me.
@itsfi I've use a couple like the black pearl and aloe and those have been pretty nice. I know MBD was all the rage at one point, but I was out of the loop originally so have to make up for it now haha!
lol @quspork! I'm right there with you making up for lost time. I hopped on board the sheet mask train later in the Kbeauty glory days. I'd seen MBD masks when I heard or saw friends or friends of friends use them, but I wasn't there yet and, when I first started getting into sheet masks, I was really just all about Leaders, Tosowoong, Etude House and Mediheal for the most part.
@itsfi Great photo! Glad you enjoyed this mask!
@Mellmars1185, thank you. I find that the MBD masks generally gives some good results.
This photo is everything @itsfi !! the little chair, the orchid, the laneige pink lip sleeping mask ๐๐ ๐ช๐บ๐
@Skunk12puzzola, thank you. The mini Laneige comes in handy. I refill it whenever I work my way through it as itโs more easily portable. And, it makes a lovely add-on to a masking session (and photo op).
I thought I'd relax tonight with the Neutrogena hydrogel mask but I was a little disappointed in it, honestly. It wasn't as hydrating as I might have expected and the mask--which came in two pieces--was entirely too huge for my face, making it slightly uncomfortable in some ways.
@CookieGirl1 Aw thatโs too bad:/. Hydration is what neutrogena is known for so itโs sad they dropped the ball on this one.
Haha, Moschino Bear Mask Huge?
@heartsmyface let's just say that there was enough mask to wrap around into my hair on the sides ๐. I mean, I appreciate a good hair mask but not quite like that...
@CookieGirl1 Ahhhhh, noooo, I hate it!! ๐.
@CookieGirl1 oh how disappointing that this was a mediocre mask for you. Thankfully it did not cause any irritation, though.
@eshoe yeah, it just wasn't that great. Thankfully I really don't have a problem with sensitive skin so I never really even think about potential irritation, TBH.
@CookieGirl1 Thatโs a shame. There you were all set to have a few moments of facial goodnessโน๏ธ
@Cissy63 it wasn't quite the relaxing moment I had in mind ๐.
@CookieGirl1 Sorry to hear about the dissapointing masking experience. Thank you for sharing!
@Mellmars1185 oh well, it was worth trying.
@CookieGirl1 I was disappointed in this one as well, however,,I have had this mask in a one piece lol and it was much better!
It's a shame this one didn't work out, @CookieGirl1. Did the pieces slide around much on your face? That's always a concern for me with hydrogels.
@quspork They actually didn't slide too much; it's just that there was enough material (?) there for two faces, lol.
For this weekโs mask theme of food I offer Pumpkin ๐. And it actually fits in with the letters too. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. Itโs supposed to resurface skin with a combo of enzymes. It exfoliates with Pumpkin enzyme, peels with alpha hydroxy acid and polishโs with aluminum hydroxy acid.
It says that it is good for dull, aging and congested complexions. This pack has more than enough product to use at least 2 times.
To use you apply a thin layer with wet finger tips. You polish in a circular motion to get the aluminum hydroxide powder in the skin. You should leave it on for 3-7 minutes to allow the AHAโs and enzyme time of work.
This is a pumpkin color grainy product. It has a spicy scent that I really liked. When applying it I felt a slight tingling feeling . I left it on for about 4 minutes. My skin is sensitive and I have rosacea. So I was concerned about leaving it on longer. Using a warm wet wash cloth I removed it. I kept feeling like I had grains on my face . So it took awhile for me to be as gentle as possible removing it.
My skin was looking like it reacts to it. The rosacea was inflamed and other areaโs looked
irritated. It didnโt feel smooth. I applied a brief version of my nighttime skin care regimen.
But the next morning my pores appeared clear and my skin was so soft. The rosacea was calm and the other irritated areas are back to normal. There was a total turnaround from the night before.
I will try it again as there is more product in the pack. But I will leave it on for 3 minutes next time.
